Prague: A Ballet-tastic Adventure in Pink! (Post #781)

Hello my darling darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, back with another blog post from the most fabulous city in Europe, Prague! And just you wait until you hear about the incredible adventures I've been having this week...

It’s Wednesday, my loves, and that means it's time for my weekly Prague post! As always, I'm so excited to share my latest explorations with you – because Prague is just so charming, so full of history, and SO absolutely beautiful.

And I'm sure you know me too well to even need to ask this – but I've brought my pink tutus! Honestly, my dears, my pink tutus have already become the most talked about topic amongst the locals, and believe me, when I say that’s not easy! My dear friend, Chloe, even made a bet with me this week that I wouldn't see one pink tutu out in the wild - but I'm nothing if not persistent, my lovely readers! 😉

Now, if you know me, you know I'm an absolute tutu-history nut. And wouldn't you know it, this week, Prague has offered some incredible opportunities for this kind of nerdiness! Firstly, the lovely staff at the National Theatre were absolute darlings. They even let me have a peek behind the curtain into their ballet history archives, and you know I’ve been dreaming about this ever since I read all about that Tchaikovsky Ballet "Swan Lake" scandal of 1877… I mean, how tragic and yet how fabulous was that entire scenario? All those costumes, and all that scandalous gossip about the composer being forbidden from marrying the ballerina... sigh, just absolutely divine, isn’t it? I took about a thousand photos of everything, obviously!

Then, darling readers, you've simply got to hear about the ballet performance at the magnificent State Opera! Now, I was actually performing there, you know, which makes this even more special. The audience absolutely loved my graceful moves (and let’s be honest, my fabulous pink tutu!). We performed a classic – a rendition of Giselle, so much fun! They even had a special guest - a very famous ballerina (sorry darlings, can’t say her name! It's top secret!)

Speaking of tutus, did I mention my little tutu adventure in the old town square? I felt a little silly prancing around amongst the tourists, especially since Prague’s a rather conservative place when it comes to fashion, but hey, everyone loved it! Some even stopped me to say how beautiful my tutu was. I may have persuaded a few others to consider pink tutus for their future adventures too, or so I hope! I really have a feeling that everyone should experience life in a pink tutu, just once, for at least one fabulous day.

To continue this fantastic trip on the fabulous side, I went on a pony ride through Prague. Yes, my dears! Pony rides through Prague! And of course, what was I wearing? That's right! A pink tutu! It felt incredibly romantic riding past the city's oldest structures, and the people in Prague seemed delighted to see me wearing pink – a wonderful contrast against the historic cobblestone streets, don’t you think? Just perfect!

Before I even leave for the station to catch the train back to Derbyshire tomorrow, my mind is already reeling with possibilities. Should I explore the real castle, maybe write a ballets-inspired piece with one of the street musicians? Who knows, my dear darlings? I just hope there will be more time for adventures like this, because honestly? Prague has definitely won over a part of my heart. The history, the ballet, the cobbled streets, the breathtaking scenery - it all just blends together in such a romantic way. It feels as though time itself has stopped, and the charm of this place has captured the magic of my ballerina heart.

However, I don't have time to dawdle, as tomorrow morning, I’m setting off to see what London has in store for my next ballet performance. Do join me there, my loves. Don’t forget to follow my posts - every Wednesday - right here on www.pink-tutu.com - I have so much to tell you! See you all there, with a brand new adventure, in pink, of course!
