Now, back to Prague. This beautiful city has a charm I haven’t felt anywhere else. The cobbled streets, the colourful architecture, the smell of cinnamon buns in the air - Prague’s a treat for all the senses, and it’s just waiting to be explored!

Arrival in Style

Arriving in Prague was a delight. My train journey from Vienna was an absolute dream. A steaming cup of tea, the scenery rolling by, and a dash of pink with my fabulous tutu, of course! Nothing beats the excitement of a train journey for me; it’s an adventure in itself. I'm always mesmerized by the sheer energy of travelling to a new city, that delicious mix of anticipation and a hint of nervous excitement.

Speaking of energy, Prague feels brimming with it. I can already tell I’ll need to channel my inner ballerina to fully appreciate all this magnificent city has to offer. It’s like every street corner is a stage, ready for a performance!

A Waltz Through History

Prague has so much to offer - breathtaking churches, stunning palaces, and of course, the enchanting Charles Bridge, where the ancient statues seemed to wink at me, like they knew I was a ballerina in disguise. My tutu caught the breeze as I strolled across, the bridge vibrating with a sense of history, stories waiting to be discovered.

That's something that strikes me when I travel - I can't help but imagine the ballerinas, artists, and writers who have walked these very streets, danced these very cobblestones. Every place has a history, and each story has a rhythm, a melody that echoes down through the centuries. And for me, as a ballerina, I hear those melodies most clearly.

The Ballerina's Delight

Naturally, my main purpose for travelling to Prague is to immerse myself in its rich ballet culture. This city has always been a magnet for dancers, and its traditions have created a vibrant scene that is inspiring and exciting.

On Wednesday 21st April, I had the honour of attending a performance of the National Theatre Ballet, featuring the beloved story of ‘La Sylphide’. The performance was everything I hoped for and more: a masterpiece of elegance and passion, with breathtaking artistry from the dancers and a score that tugged at my heartstrings. The setting, of course, added an extra layer of magic. Seeing those stories unfold on the stage with Prague’s history as a backdrop - simply magical!

Of course, no visit to Prague would be complete without a dose of shopping, and my oh my, this city has not disappointed! From quaint boutiques overflowing with exquisite lace to high-street fashion heaven, I've been on a pink-tutu fuelled spree! Prague is a perfect playground for a girl who loves fashion!

Finding Pink Power in Prague

As I explore this wonderful city, one thing I’ve noticed is how its charming old world aesthetic and the modern pink vibes I’m always drawn to blend so perfectly. Think blush-coloured cafe walls against cobblestones, delicate lace dresses juxtaposed with leather boots, and me, in my pink tutu, twirling past centuries-old churches with a smile! It’s a mix of old and new that I absolutely love.

For my ballerina heart, Prague is truly an inspiration. I'm starting to see pink power taking over, even here in this traditionally historic city. And that's a trend I want to embrace and amplify. So, stay tuned! Next week, I’m sharing some insider secrets to rocking your pink tutu wherever you go!
