Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballet Lover's Dream Come True! šŸ©°āœØ

Post #824 | Wednesday 9th February 2011 | www.pink-tutu.com

Hello darlings!

Itā€™s Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood ballerina blogger, and Iā€™m writing to you live from the heart of Prague! I finally made it! After weeks of planning, tutus packed, and a whirlwind of ballet performances to fund this trip, Iā€™m here in the beautiful city of Prague. My suitcase is brimming with frills and tulle, my hair is styled in a chic ballerina bun, and Iā€™m ready to embrace all that Prague has to offer!

This trip feels extra special, like a dream come true, especially since Iā€™m spending Valentineā€™s Day in one of the most romantic cities in Europe. Who needs chocolates and flowers when you have cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and the captivating energy of the Czech Republic? And donā€™t even get me started on the local pastries - divine!

Now, for all you fashionistas, Prague is a sartorial haven! Iā€™ve already indulged in a little retail therapy, browsing through the boutiques and vintage shops along the Golden Lane. I even found a stunning pink feather boa, which, naturally, I bought! I just knew it would look perfect with my collection of pink tutus - what can I say, I have a weakness for anything fluffy and pink.

But let's be honest, the real reason Iā€™m in Prague is the ballet! Iā€™m dying to experience the world-renowned Prague National Theatre, a masterpiece of art deco architecture, where legends were born and countless talented ballerinas graced the stage. Iā€™ve been following their performances online, and theyā€™re nothing short of sensational. And don't even get me started on the costumes! Each and every one is a breathtaking piece of art - it's like walking into a magical, theatrical world.

Iā€™m planning to see their production of ā€œGiselleā€ tonight. You all know how much I love romantic ballet tales of love and betrayal - a true test for even the most experienced ballerinas! So get ready for my review later in the week - complete with photos of the gorgeous costumes and, of course, a bit of my own ā€œGiselle-inspiredā€ style inspiration.

Speaking of style, Prague has a truly unique character - there's something wonderfully whimsical and romantic about the whole city, from the pastel-coloured buildings to the enchanting bridges. I'm just loving walking around in my fluffy tutu and little ballerina flats, taking it all in and admiring the cityā€™s bohemian charm.

Yesterday, I took a delightful carriage ride around the Old Town Square, which was like stepping back in time. It was absolutely enchanting! There were musicians playing in the square, street performers in vibrant costumes, and vendors selling everything from local crafts to tasty Czech sweets. I must admit, I did purchase a few of those delectable honey cookies! They were so delicious that I already ordered more online to take back to my flat in Derbyshire!

Iā€™m finding myself captivated by Pragueā€™s history and its enchanting tales of medieval times. The whole city feels like an open-air museum - there's history peeking around every corner, just waiting to be explored. This place makes me think about the origins of ballet. Can you imagine the ballerinas of the Renaissance era gracefully navigating these narrow streets? What a vision! I can just see myself dancing down them in my pink tutu, just like the ballerina ladies in those ancient paintings - I wonder if the locals would have considered me a little outlandish back then!

And did you know that the earliest form of ballet emerged in the Italian Renaissance? Itā€™s wild to think about the fact that the same artistic passion, creativity, and love for the art of dance that was present then continues to be present today, across Europe, across the world. What a testament to the timeless beauty of dance! Itā€™s truly captivating.

So, darling friends, Iā€™m already having the most fantastic time! Prague is a vibrant and beautiful city that truly embodies the essence of art, culture, and, most importantly, passion. And donā€™t forget my pink tutus! This is only the beginning of my Prague adventure, and Iā€™m absolutely delighted to be sharing this journey with you! I can't wait to share my photos of all my ballet finds with you on Friday.

See you all soon, and until then, donā€™t forget to live life in a pink tutu! šŸ©°ā¤ļø

XOXO, Emma
