Prague: A Whirlwind of Pink and Pointe Shoes! - #836

Hello, darlings! Emma here, and it’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time for another pink and sparkly blog post from your favourite tutu-clad travel enthusiast! This week, I've been whisked away to the magical city of Prague. Oh my goodness, the cobbled streets, the fairy-tale architecture, and the stunning river views – it's all just too much to take in! And let me tell you, the fashion scene here is utterly divine, perfect for this pink-loving tutu princess.

But before I delve into the fashion scene, I have to tell you about the amazing ballet performance I caught last night at the stunning National Theatre. The energy was electric! It was the "Giselle" – the tragedy of a beautiful peasant girl who dies of a broken heart – with breathtaking choreography and such an evocative performance. I was swept away by the raw emotions, the flowing tutus, and the precision of the dancing. They made every pirouette and plié look effortless – just like a dream! It reminded me why I’m so utterly passionate about ballet and why I aim to bring this enchanting art form to every corner of the globe.

Speaking of the tutus, have I told you about the divine pink tutu I’m wearing today? It's a classic, perfectly crafted tulle skirt with layers of the most beautiful soft, pale pink, almost blush-like. I paired it with a white cotton top – which I snagged for a steal in one of the amazing boutiques in Old Town. Oh, the vintage lace and ribbons! – a little sparkle on the shoes and, of course, my trusty pink, ballet-inspired tote bag. A ballet dancer never goes out without her essential supplies.

Travel to Prague by Train – A Lovely Scenic Adventure!

To get here, I travelled from the glorious Derbyshire countryside on a grand, classic European train – all plush velvet seats, wide windows offering spectacular views of the passing landscape, and that faint, magical scent of steam and polished wood. It was like stepping into a bygone era, a dream-like adventure to set the tone for this Prague escape!

A Pony Ride into the Czech Countryside

But even more delightful, upon arrival, I indulged in a rather unique travel experience: a pony ride! I'd been looking forward to this charming experience all week. We strolled through the breathtaking countryside, a light breeze whispering through the golden wheat fields. I swear, I heard the little ponies whispering tales of enchanted castles and hidden forest glades. Just the perfect whimsical experience to kick-start this grand Prague escapade.

Prague’s Shopping Scene – A Tutu-licious Treat!

Now, where was I? Oh, right, fashion! I haven't even started to tell you about the boutiques in Prague, which are overflowing with sparkly delights! I have already found myself happily ensconced in several delightfully feminine shops filled with gorgeous outfits. The shops on Charles Bridge are truly a dream come true! They’ve got the most incredible selection of vintage finds and handcrafted accessories. There's a vintage lace boutique just off the bridge that made me completely lose myself. It’s as if you've stepped into a time machine straight to the glamorous 1920s, and oh, my goodness, the tutus

And the rest of the city? I'm completely obsessed with the whimsical boutiques around the square – I must have already collected at least three gorgeous silk scarves with pink floral motifs. I haven't even mentioned the hand-crafted shoe stores where you can have custom-made ballet shoes with real diamonds on the toe! But don't worry, I'll leave that part for a separate blog post; it’s truly a spectacle worth sharing all by itself!

Finding the Magic in the Small Things!

But you know me, my darlings, the magic of travel lies in the little details. That moment you stumble across a hidden flower market bursting with blooms, their scent filling the air like a perfume… those delicious pastries from a little hole-in-the-wall cafe (that raspberry and almond croissant? Oh, it was divine!)...

There’s also a joy in seeing the city come alive after dark when all those historical buildings light up, transforming the landscape into something even more magical. They all tell tales of long ago, stories woven into the city’s fabric, stories waiting to be unraveled… I can almost feel the whisper of a princess or a knight-errant behind me. And in every cobbled street, every quirky alley, I can almost hear the enchanting strains of a ballet music, playing for an invisible, enchanting waltz.

It’s Time to Get Your Tutu On!

This trip to Prague is such a dreamy adventure – one that reminds me just why I am passionate about encouraging everyone to step into their own unique story, a story where pink tutus are embraced, and dreams are danced to life.

Because let's be honest, ladies (and gents!), wearing a pink tutu can be the most wonderful way to feel like you're dancing through life! It doesn’t matter what your shape, size or style. It’s a powerful symbol that can lift our spirits, make us feel playful and confident – a little touch of magic for everyone, just like a dash of sugar and spice, bringing a dash of joyful whimsy to every day! So, I encourage you all: Find that pink tutu, whether it's a real one, a vibrant dress, or just a splash of pink on your favorite accessory! I truly believe everyone has a little ballerina in them – all it takes is a little nudge, a little confidence, and maybe a little pink sparkle to unlock the joy within.

Coming Soon – Prague by Moonlight!

Tomorrow, I’ll take you all on a moonlight stroll along the river. I'll even show you the breathtaking view from the iconic Charles Bridge.

Until next time, stay sparkly and always remember to dream big – it’s in your pink tutus, my lovelies!

Love,

Emma xxx
