Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballet Lover's Paradise! (Post #877)
Bonjour mes chéries!
It's Wednesday again, which means a fresh post on the Pink Tutu blog. Today, I'm writing from the utterly charming city of Prague! As always, my travels are fueled by the magical world of ballet, and I recently performed a delightful piece in Vienna. From there, a little train journey (always my favourite mode of transport) whisked me straight to this beautiful, historic city.
Now, let me tell you, this place is simply enchanting! Every corner reveals stunning architecture, cobbled streets and the most adorable little boutiques, perfect for finding that unique Parisian-inspired touch for my ballet wardrobe. And, just as I discovered that Prague was brimming with incredible historical ballet stories (more on that later), I found out that a ballet company called The Pink Tutus of Prague were holding auditions! So naturally, I couldn't resist the chance to show off my own ballet skills. And guess what? I was invited to join their incredible performance today! I just had to grab a cute little pink tutu - after all, it was the least I could do!
Speaking of pink tutus, wouldn't you love to see me take centre stage with a full-length, frilly, dreamy number? Maybe with a matching tiara? Think, a beautiful, full, voluminous pink tulle tutu that swirls with each pirouette, perfectly echoing the spirit of this charming city! Just imagine the audience cheering with glee at the sheer joy of a ballerina in a bright pink tutu. They'd never have seen a spectacle like that, at least not here in Prague! And that, dear friends, is the ultimate goal – to bring joy and magic through ballet and, of course, my beloved tutus!
Now, where was I? Ah yes, Prague! As promised, let me tell you about the enchanting history of ballet here. Did you know that Prague has a fascinating link to ballet? Imagine! There's even a Ballet Institute - perfect for perfecting my 'à la seconde' pose! They have such interesting exhibits too – I found myself in a room filled with ancient tutus and other performance costumes. Just looking at them transports you back in time, it truly is remarkable!
But, of course, no trip to Prague would be complete without exploring the shops and soaking up the incredible food. I've discovered a cafe where the croissants are as fluffy and delightful as a swan lake sequence, and I stumbled upon a tiny antique shop with the most gorgeous hand-painted porcelain dolls. These would make a delightful addition to my tutu-themed bedroom - I'm already envisioning the whole collection, featuring tutu-clad fairies and dainty princesses.
And who can forget the majestic sights of Prague? Prague Castle is like something out of a fairytale – stunning architecture and the most picturesque gardens. I just had to grab a quick pic of myself twirling by the grand entrance with my trusty pink tutu. It's all a bit whimsical, wouldn't you agree?
Speaking of fairytales, Prague's Charles Bridge, all lined with statues, is utterly beautiful and very magical. It is said that the bridge brings good luck – that, combined with the inspiring energy of ballet, has me brimming with confidence. I just know this visit is the beginning of something wonderful for my career!
Tonight, I’m off to watch The Pink Tutus of Prague put on a dazzling performance in the National Theatre. Can't wait to see what their interpretation of Swan Lake looks like! Then, a late-night coffee in the Old Town Square – just another charming evening in a beautiful, inspiring city!
And remember, dear friends, the journey is always more fun when you're twirling with a smile and sporting a beautiful pink tutu. Until next week, keep dreaming big and dancing with joy!
Yours in twirling happiness,
Emma xx
