Prague, My Darling! #916 šŸ©°šŸ’–

Hello my lovely tutu-tastic followers! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another fabulously pink post from your favourite ballet-loving blogger, Emma! This week, I've been swept away to the magical city of Prague. Itā€™s just soā€¦charming. Cobbled streets, enchanting architecture, and the aroma of cinnamon pastries ā€“ pure fairytale material!

But enough about the charming backdrop for a moment. This week, my biggest obsession, the Pink Tutu Prague Ballet, has been playing at the National Theatre! It was literally a dream come true.

Now, as you all know, I adore a good ballet. But I canā€™t ever get enough of Prague. In fact, itā€™s almost as if I was destined to travel there! From the minute I boarded the train at Paddington, a flutter of excitement in my stomach (and I hadnā€™t even had my breakfast croissants!), it felt like an exciting chapter was about to unfold.

Just before boarding the train I did some of my favourite tutu-shopping. Itā€™s practically an obligation to find at least one new pink tutu, particularly for this magical Prague adventure. This week's acquisition? A delightfully bright shade of pink tutu ā€“ perfect for a show like Pink Tutu Prague! It features a beautiful sparkling embroidered skirt, made with an intricate design of rose petals - truly romantic! (Not to mention super Instagrammable!)

Upon my arrival in Prague, the fairytale began. I made my way to my adorable hotel ā€“ the "Little Princessā€ in the heart of Old Town. I mean, it couldnā€™t have been more perfectly pink! Imagineā€¦ pastel pink walls with the cutest lace curtains, a four-poster bed with a silk canopy, and a claw-foot bath with handmade, lavender bath salts ā€“ just delightful! I honestly felt like a princess from a storybook!

Of course, whatā€™s a trip to Prague without a little ballet inspiration? I managed to squeeze in a morning of ballet class, just before the performance! The studio was gorgeous. Imagine, large windows with arched doorways, high ceilings with chandeliers, beautiful parquet flooring - oh, and the most stunning view overlooking the Charles Bridge ā€“ utter perfection! My class was full of beautiful dancers, and even some delightful little girls with their tutus! They were absolutely darling ā€“ tiny, rosy-cheeked little cherubs twirling their way through a pirouette, so endearing!

That evening, I was absolutely bursting with anticipation to see Pink Tutu Prague. A quick change back into my freshly ironed tutu, a lick of lipstick and I was good to go!

This ballet wasnā€™t a typical classical show though. No swan lake here! Pink Tutu Prague was all about vibrant, contemporary and stylish dancing! I just loved how the choreography brought the spirit of Prague to life. I felt myself being swept away with every step, every leap!

It really was like a dream, with amazing music and dazzling costumes. Each dancer moved so gracefully - truly breathtaking!

After the show, I felt inspired, not only by the beauty of the ballet itself but also by the spirit of Prague, a place of creativity, charm and enchantment. Of course, a delicious, decadent, chocolate and raspberry mille-feuille in one of the Old Town squares just sealed the deal! Just another fabulous night!

If you're a ballet lover or just looking for a truly enchanting experience, Prague is a must-visit. Plus, you can have a wonderful time exploring all of Pragueā€™s incredible art galleries and antique shops, which make for a perfect afternoon in the pink tutu!

But until next week my sweet readers, I hope youā€™ve all enjoyed your own tutu-licious experiences! I leave you with some more inspiring photos of Prague and a glimpse of the Pink Tutu Prague Ballet. Oh, and donā€™t forgetā€¦ every girl looks fab in pink! Remember: "Pink tutus are like sprinkles ā€“ they make everything better!ā€

XOXO

Prague Ballet Inspiration:

Hereā€™s what was on this day:

  • 14th November 2012, was the opening night of Pink Tutu Prague Ballet at the National Theatre, Prague, featuring the most magical contemporary dance. It showcased the talent of outstanding dancers.

    • ā€œSwan Lakeā€ ā€“ Ballet Prague is also currently featuring Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake,ā€ which has beautiful staging, amazing costumes and a brilliant cast!

    • "The Nutcracker" ā€“ The National Theatre, Prague has ā€œThe Nutcrackerā€ throughout December, with a mix of classical ballet and more modern twists.

Tutu Style Inspiration!

A beautiful pink tulle tutu, of course! For this show, you could pair it with:

  • A stylishly fitted black turtleneck top
  • An elegant pink satin jacket (it can match the color of your tutu perfectly!)
  • Tights (if itā€™s cold) and heels or flats!

Donā€™t forget a sparkly headband or necklace! I always recommend choosing jewelry with pearls ā€“ such an elegant touch!

Traveling by Train and Pony!

There is something special about travelling to Prague by train! The scenery outside my window seemed to blend seamlessly with the storybook charm of the journey. Not to mention the fun of exploring a new city ā€“ what could be more wonderful? I love that feeling of arrivalā€¦ the excitement of knowing a new adventure awaits.

Now I did admit that I was planning to get to the station by pony (there's a lovely livery nearby with very good steeds!) but a sudden burst of rain really did ruin my plans, a real pity. (Next time, hopefully.) However, a handsome black cab did arrive ā€“ just on cue for this darling, girly girl! I couldnā€™t have been more pleased.

## More from Prague!

I had a great time seeing the beautiful architecture in Old Town Prague. Prague is just soā€¦ enchanting. The cobbled streets winding their way through historic buildings ā€“ stunning. I simply must take you with me to see:

  • The Astronomical Clock ā€“ Absolutely breathtaking and magical. As each figure in the clock chimes, the whole town seemed to hold its breath!

    • Charles Bridge ā€“ So beautiful! With all the historical statues on either sideā€¦ what a fairytale backdrop! Iā€™d never felt such wonderment before!
  • The Prague Castle - a beautiful and inspiring landmark in this fairytale city!

But waitā€¦ I almost forgot to mention the shopping!!

Shopping Inspiration!

This city has so many shops brimming with delightful treasures, so I knew I just had to go shopping!

Prague offers so much to the stylish and fashion conscious, and with my pink tutu in tow ā€“ of course I wanted to find a few more! Pragueā€™s shops have everything, but the most wonderful find has to be a little antique shop with exquisite vintage clothes! Iā€™m such a lover of vintage ā€“ especially when it's pink, of course!

  • For a special treat! Lodejna Bakery. (it's the best! Trust me!). It has an extraordinary bakery counter with delectable French pastriesā€¦ so yummy! This sweet, delightful pastry is simply the best treat!

    • *And of course, it's very ā€œpinkā€ - which is what this *tutu blogger needs after all that ballet and shopping!*

      ā€œLet's Go Pink!ā€

Youā€™re all invited! Remember, pink tutus are for everyone, whether you're a ballerina or simply loving to wear a vibrant shade of pink.

I challenge you to find a new way to wear pink this week! Maybe itā€™s a pink scarf or an exciting pink top ā€“ even a pink handbag will work perfectly. Don't be afraid to embrace a touch of pink - itā€™s fun and it's festive!

I know youā€™ve all got something fabulous to shareā€¦ Don't forget to share photos of your pink finds using #pinktutu so we can all celebrate together!

Lots of love

Emma
