Post Number 938
Hello my darlings! Welcome to my little corner of the internet where everything is pink and twirling, just like a tutu! This week Iām whisking you off to the magical city of Prague, where cobblestones meet history, and pastel colours dance with the scent of coffee and fresh bread.
Itās Wednesday, which means a brand new blog post for my dearest readers. This week, my trusty steed (well, a little train called the Pendolino - much less majestic, but much faster!) brought me straight from Derbyshire to Prague! Iāve gotta say, thereās something quite magical about travelling by train, especially when youāre on your way to a new adventure. I could barely keep myself from peeping out of the window and snapping pictures every two seconds - I just adore those fleeting glimpses of life outside, seeing the world roll past as you journey onwards.
Pink Tutu Adventures in Prague
Now, let's talk about the piĆØce de rĆ©sistance ā my pink tutu! This time Iām wearing a gorgeous new number from a vintage shop in London, with a cascading cloud of delicate tulle, all blush pink and shimmering with sequins. I call it āThe Prague Dream,ā as it perfectly embodies the romanticism of this captivating city. It goes without saying, this tutu had to make a grand appearance in the heart of Prague!
The Prague Ballet Show - It's Magic, Darling!
But letās be honest, no visit to Prague would be complete without a performance at the majestic National Theatre! So, thatās exactly what I did. And it was magical! The programme boasted a captivating production of Tchaikovskyās "Swan Lake." The story unfolded on a stunning stage, the music danced through the air, and the ballerinas glided across the stage with grace and poise. I swear, I almost cried at the beauty of it all.
The whole experience just had me wanting to dance too! Luckily, the stage wasnāt crowded! So I did! There I was, in my glorious pink tutu, amidst the theatregoers. Yes, I did have to hold a few people's champagne glasses when they wanted to go to the bathroom, but the look on their faces when they got back was just divine. So it was well worth it.
Speaking of champagne glasses, they really are the perfect way to celebrate a magnificent ballet performance, donāt you think? And a pink champagne flute is definitely the most fabulous way to sip!
A Romantic City That Whispers Beauty
Prague itself is a treasure trove of beauty, with cobbled streets that seem to whisper tales of kings and queens, ancient castles perched on hilltops, and bridges adorned with stories etched in time. My pink tutu has been doing a grand tour of the city's highlights!
First stop, the famous Charles Bridge ā oh, the beauty of the golden morning sunlight sparkling on the water! And did I mention how the water looks just as enchanting by twilight? This bridge was the perfect place to let out my inner twirling princess. Imagine a pink cloud of tulle fluttering amidst the backdrop of Pragueās magic, a truly unforgettable experience!
Then came the delightful Old Town Square, where the ornate astronomical clock counts down the seconds to the next show ā a parade of saints and mythical creatures! I spent hours wandering the cobbled streets, soaking in the charm, taking in the historical buildings, each telling a story of the past.
You really should come and experience this gorgeous city! My camera (a vintage Pentax, I may add - it goes perfectly with my tutus) is loaded with hundreds of snaps - this city is begging to be documented in all its glory!
A Shopping Paradise
And Prague doesnāt just offer historic beauty! The city's streets are brimming with charming shops and boutiques. My tutu went for a very fancy spin on the designer streets of PaÅĆžskĆ” and Na PÅĆkopÄ ā the city is definitely a haven for fashionistas like me! I couldnāt resist picking up a few delightful items to add to my growing wardrobe: a delicate pastel pink silk scarf, some hand-crafted glass earrings (just perfect for adding a touch of Bohemian whimsy to my pink ensembles) and, of course, another magnificent pair of shoes - sparkly pink high heels that are the perfect finishing touch for a truly dazzling pink outfit!
Living La Dolce Vita in Prague
As always, I couldnāt resist indulging in some of the delectable culinary delights this city has to offer! Pragueās cafĆ©s and restaurants serve up all manner of treats, and of course I had to sample all the pink delicacies I could find! A delicious rose-tinted macaroon (naturally) while I had a lovely glass of tea at a Parisian-style cafĆ©; a juicy, pink strawberry tart with the freshest whipped cream ā all simply divine! And donāt forget the coffee ā a frothy latte to wake me up each morning and fuel my explorations, itās all a little taste of "La Dolce Vita."
The Power of the Pink Tutu
Wherever I travel, my pink tutu is always a conversation starter, a symbol of joy and femininity, and always brings a smile to everyone's faces. You know, that's what I love most about it. The tutu makes people feel happy. And, secretly, I believe everyone in the world needs a bit more happiness. Perhaps that's why I make it my mission to spread the magic of pink tutus across the globe! I just know, that everyone, deep down inside, has a secret wish to twirl in a pink tutu. After all, why shouldn't everyone have the freedom to embrace their inner fairy tale?
Don't forget to visit me again next week for a brand new adventure, a new pink tutu, and maybe even a special dance lesson ā all for you, my beautiful readers!
Until next time, remember: pink tutus are always the answer!
Lots of love,
Emma
P.S. I just love a beautiful photograph and, dear reader, I really hope my photos will inspire your travels and give you the same sparkle in your eye that I feel when I'm on an adventure.
