Prague Calling: Pink Tutu Goes Bohemian! πŸ©°πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ

Hello, darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, and I'm thrilled to be whisking you all off to the enchanting city of Prague! This week's post is extra special – not only is it a journey through cobblestone streets and dreamy architecture, but it also features a spectacular ballet performance that left my heart soaring! ✨

Prague: A Fairytale Come True

Oh, Prague, you've stolen my heart! Arriving by train was just as magical as I imagined – chugging through verdant countryside, watching the landscape shift from rolling hills to a captivating cityscape. And when we pulled into the station, there it was: Prague Castle, standing proudly on the horizon, a picture of historical grandeur. I swear, I could hear the echoes of past waltzes and whispered romances, the air thick with history and a promise of fairytale adventures.

As soon as I checked into my charming little hotel – adorned with fairy lights and vintage maps, of course – I donned my most fetching pink tutu (a delightfully delicate confection from a little boutique in Vienna) and headed straight to the Old Town Square. The sheer beauty of it all! The vibrant colours of the buildings, the bustling life in the squares, and the charming little shops filled with bohemian treasures just beckoned me to explore.

A Bohemian Ballet Extravaganza

But what really set my heart aflutter was the ballet performance at the magnificent National Theatre. It was Swan Lake, of course, the story that's etched into my very soul. The dancers were incredible, their movements as graceful as the swans themselves, the music echoing through the grand theatre, and the costumes… oh, the costumes! Each delicate tulle layer, every shimmer of velvet, was a poem of motion and grace.

Pink Tutu in Prague: My Fashion Adventures

And what would a trip to Prague be without a little shopping spree? πŸ˜‰ You know I simply can't resist a new pink tutu, and I found the perfect one tucked away in a charming little shop on the Charles Bridge. This one is an absolute dream – softest silk imaginable, a delicate dusting of iridescent pink sequins, and just enough poof to make every twirl a delight!

But let me tell you, Prague isn't all about ballet and shopping. There's a wonderful energy here, a whimsical feel to the city that makes you want to linger. The winding cobbled streets, the quaint little cafes bursting with delicious pastries, the endless views of the river, all come together to weave a magical spell.

History Lessons in a Pink Tutu

Speaking of magic, this trip has also been a mini ballet history lesson. I learned about the city's fascinating ballet heritage – did you know Prague was a hub of ballet activity in the 19th century? We had ballerinas right here who trained with the most renowned choreographers of the time, dancing in grand theaters where Mozart and Beethoven himself once performed!

I also stumbled across the most fascinating little shop selling old ballet books, posters, and even vintage tutus. Imagine, little girls dreaming of being ballerinas like me, decades ago, wearing these very tutus! It made me feel connected to this dance form in a completely new way.

A Dream Come True in Pink Tutu Paradise

Of course, I've been documenting everything – the cobbled streets, the dancing swans, the dazzling pink tutus – and you'll find it all on my Instagram, darlings! You can find me @PinkTutuBlog and join me on this whirlwind tour of Prague. I've also written a blog post about the incredible Prague Ballet company and their incredible history, check out the blog www.pink-tutu.com.

Until next week, my dear ballet lovers, keep dreaming in pink and never stop believing in the magic of dance. πŸ’•
