Pink Tutu Prague - Post #1080 - February 17th 2016

Hello my darling tutu-wearers,

Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, a place where pink reigns supreme and twirling is a lifestyle choice! This week, I'm beaming with the most magical Prague vibes as I spill all the tea on my latest ballet adventure. This city is just breathtaking - cobbled streets, soaring spires, and a sheer abundance of charm. Oh, and did I mention the delicious coffee? It's making my ballet-trained calves ache to shimmy to every cafe in town.

Now, let's dive into the heart of what you've all been waiting for - the real reason for my visit, the Ballet! As a ballerina at heart (and by that, I mean literally. My soul vibrates at a ballet tempo!), a trip to Prague without exploring its balletic depths would be an absolute travesty. This week, I had the honour of experiencing the beauty of the Czech National Ballet. My jaw practically hit the floor, darling, I can't even tell you! It was just the perfect blend of classic elegance and modern vibrancy. I was mesmerised, especially by the incredible costumes – so intricate and captivating. Think flowing silks, sparkling jewels and that oh-so-iconic pink tulle - it truly was a feast for the senses.

Speaking of pink tulle, I couldn't resist grabbing my signature ballet skirt – you know, the one that screams "I love ballet!" in every shimmering, delicate strand of tulle – and taking it for a spin (literally!) around Old Town Square. Prague is simply the most photogenic backdrop for a tutu twirling spree. I'm telling you, you simply must visit.

After the show, I found myself wandering through the city’s quaint boutiques, on a mission for some divine ballet-inspired accessories. My pink heart rejoiced as I stumbled upon a shop overflowing with the most beautiful antique jewelry and vintage tutus! The whole experience was pure Parisian chic, with just a hint of whimsical Bohemia – something I’m sure you can tell by the photo I posted on my Instagram.

But before we dive deeper into the glorious world of Prague, let's rewind a bit to my journey here. Now, any self-respecting ballerina worth her salt knows that travel is best done in style! It simply had to be by train. My trip from Derbyshire, England to Prague involved hopping onto the Eurostar and sipping champagne, like a true ballet goddess in her travelling tutu.

When I wasn't indulging in train-based luxury, I found myself engrossed in books about ballet history – oh, those glamorous ballerinas of the past! The sheer volume of talent and innovation, from Marie Taglioni’s graceful pointe shoes to the rebellious genius of Isadora Duncan - it just fills me with such a deep appreciation for the art form. I even started sketching some designs for my own pink tutu, which I’m already planning to unveil at my next ballet recital back in the UK. You’ll have to come see it! I might even add a little Czech flair! Think tiny glass beads and sparkling crystals – just wait and see!

Before I sign off, my darlings, let’s have a little chat about my beloved tutus! These exquisite garments are more than just fancy costumes - they’re powerful symbols of feminine energy, of grace and joy. They represent the freedom to express ourselves, to be playful, and to spread happiness. And let’s be honest, they are absolutely dazzling. They can instantly transform any outfit. Why limit yourself to wearing a tutu just for a ballet performance? My aim in life is to make the pink tutu a symbol of personal style. Just imagine walking down the street in your very own pink tutu! It's bold, it’s stylish and it’s a perfect conversation starter! Trust me, you’ll get more smiles and compliments than you could ever dream of!

This has been my little peek into the ballet-obsessed world of Emma’s Prague adventure! Don’t forget to check out my blog every Wednesday for a dose of pink tutu inspiration, and be sure to share your own tutu adventures using the #PinkTutuPrague hashtag!

Until next Wednesday, darlings. Happy twirling!
