Pink Tutu Prague: Post No. 1083 ā€“ A Ballet Bonanza and Shopping Spree

Hello, my lovely tutu-loving friends!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Prague adventure! As you all know, this week marks my debut in the magical city of Prague, and let me tell you, it's everything I dreamed of ā€“ charming cobblestones, grand architecture, and, best of all, a bustling ballet scene!

Last night, I donned my prettiest pink tutu (a blush silk masterpiece, with delicate rose embroidery - you've got to see it!) and headed to the historic Estates Theatre for a performance of ā€œGiselleā€. The theatre itself is a marvel - the gilded details, the velvet seating, the soaring ceiling... all so wonderfully opulent and dramatic! And the ballet? Pure magic. The dancers, graceful as swans, were captivating, the music, haunting and emotional. I lost myself completely in the story.

But first, I couldnā€™t resist a little ballet-themed shopping before the show. You see, I have this rule - every city needs a pink tutu souvenir. And Prague certainly didnā€™t disappoint! I found the most adorable pink tutu-themed t-shirt at a vintage shop called "Anyaā€™s Attic" on the charming Old Town Square, along with a stunning antique porcelain ballerina figurine - she even has her own tiny, perfectly pink tutu! And letā€™s not forget the most beautiful pale pink cashmere scarf with a delicate floral pattern ā€“ a perfect addition to my tutu-inspired wardrobe, I thought, adding a touch of ballet grace to my evening wear.

The next day, I made a beeline for the charming National Theatre on the bank of the Vltava River. They have the most impressive performance schedule! The architecture is breathtaking ā€“ you almost have to pinch yourself to make sure it's not a dream!

And then it was on to a real treat ā€“ a special dance class with the enchanting Prague Ballet Company! They were welcoming and incredibly talented! Learning the art of ā€œclassical pointeā€ was an experience Iā€™ll cherish forever. They say every ballerina should have Prague on their list of must-visit dance destinations, and I absolutely agree!

While I'm in Prague, I'm definitely not only going to ballet performances and dance classes ā€“ I am indulging in all things beautiful and chic, as always! Shopping, delicious pastries, coffee in charming cafes and wandering the historic city ā€“ you can't beat Prague's enchanting charm and ambiance.

For example, today I discovered the most exquisite jewellery shop tucked away on the cobbled street near the Old Town Square. I just had to get my hands on this intricate rose-gold and pink tourmaline bracelet ā€“ a perfect match for my pink tutu and the beautiful flowers I brought back from the flower market (Pragueā€™s florists have some of the most stunning flowers!)

Speaking of beautiful things, I just adore all things ballet, and that includes its history, of course. Youā€™ve got to know what youā€™re dancing to, don't you? Today, I explored the cityā€™s National Library. Their collection of old books, including many historical documents on ballet and theatre is a true gem, and they have a magnificent exhibition about Pragueā€™s theatrical heritage. It made me feel like Iā€™ve taken a step back in time to the days of waltzes, grand balls and tutu-clad ballerinas. Such a lovely day!

Next week, Iā€™m venturing out to Prague's breathtaking surrounding countryside, by pony of course! (it's not pink, but it's elegant! ) I plan to visit the magnificent Chateau KarlÅ”tejn - an ancient castle in a scenic setting! Just imagine: historic architecture, horseback riding and, maybe, even a pink tutu for the occasion!

Stay tuned for more pink tutu adventures from beautiful Prague! I'll keep you all updated on my experiences on my blog and on social media, where you can find me under @PinkTutuEmma.
