Pink Tutu Prague: Post #1117 – Where the Magic Happens! 🩰💖

Hey gorgeous ballet lovers, it's your favourite pink tutu enthusiast, Emma, back from Prague with a suitcase full of memories, and oh, so many outfits I want to show you! 🛍️ This week I'm diving straight into the heart of this magical city, because frankly, there's just so much to tell you. Prague was a whirlwind of pastel-coloured architecture, cobbled streets, and delicious pastry shops, but best of all, I saw the most enchanting ballet performances I've ever encountered! Let's get into it, shall we?

Taking a Tutu to the Czech Republic: The Train Journey

I kicked off my trip in the most glamorous way possible - on a train, of course! 🚄 I love the way a train journey allows you to truly immerse yourself in the scenery and relax. It also gives me plenty of time to admire my tutu selection, and let's be honest, this trip warranted a pink and gold number, sparkling with sequins! ✨ I was ready to wow the Czechs with my twirls!

A Tutu on the Town in Prague

Prague, my love, you're breathtaking! From the moment I stepped off the train and onto those cobbled streets, I was lost in a world of whimsical fairytale beauty. Pastel-hued buildings soared into the sky, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. My camera wouldn't stop clicking, snapping pictures of every cute shop window, ornate building, and colourful bridge. 💖 But it wasn't just the beauty that enchanted me. Prague has such a captivating energy, buzzing with creativity and a love for the arts.

Prague: The Perfect Place to Unleash Your Inner Ballerina

Oh, my dear fellow dancers, you HAVE to visit Prague. I stumbled upon a quaint ballet studio tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. It was a little piece of ballerina heaven. We twirled, leapt, and stretched in a space overflowing with natural light and that most precious thing – passion. 💖 The instructors, seasoned dancers themselves, had this infectious joy that had me leaping across the floor with an extra bounce in my step. I even learned a few new steps in their repertoire, ready to show them off in my next performance!

Pink Tutu Performances in Prague: The Magic is Real!

And then there was the ballet… My oh my! It wasn't just one ballet, it was several, each one more spectacular than the last! The first, “Giselle,” was held in the magnificent National Theatre which is so steeped in history. They really go all out in the theatre; it feels as though you are stepping back in time when you enter the doors! 🕰️

It was a classic production of the classic ballet that blew my mind, from the heart-wrenching choreography to the mesmerizing costumes. The graceful ballerinas, their movements as fluid as silk, were truly mesmerizing. But the piece that really stole my heart was the final scene, with the beautiful Wilis floating and gliding with a captivating blend of ethereal beauty and sadness. A real testament to the sheer beauty of ballet! 😭

Speaking of beautiful, the Czech National Ballet was outstanding in their production of “The Nutcracker”. I could have sworn that the sugarplum fairy had descended from the clouds right before my eyes. ✨ I can still see those enchanting snowflakes floating in the air.

One of my favourite memories of the trip, though, was when I discovered a secret ballet club tucked away down a narrow alleyway. It felt like a hidden gem! It was such a delight to watch these local, incredibly talented dancers, they gave everything to the performance, and it was quite clear they poured so much love and passion into the whole thing. I was instantly charmed, it reminded me so much of the feeling you get when watching a smaller, local performance, with the talent being quite unbelievable, you can truly feel the love they put into it. This was definitely my type of place! I was delighted to buy some limited edition “Nutcracker” souvenirs there too. You know me – gotta get those! 🩰

Tutu Shopping: Prague is a Paradise

This trip wasn’t all ballet though! I had to hit those shops and soak up Prague's bohemian vibe! It was a bit like wandering through a magical fairytale. I found all the vintage and quirky shops that sold everything from stunning handmade tutus and dresses, to incredible jewellery made by local artists. Each piece I found held a story, whispering of bohemian creativity and artistic passion. It was quite overwhelming!

Of course, I had to indulge myself and find the most fabulous pink tutu for my ballet performance the next night. I opted for a tutu so unbelievably gorgeous, I think it even made the pigeons on Charles Bridge pause for a moment. 💕

I even discovered this incredibly quaint little shop on the side street of Staroměstské náměstí, where the locals were absolutely obsessed with all things pink and tutu. You won’t believe the beautiful dresses they have there, but the thing I loved about this shop is that everything was pink. All shades of pink. And it really was my colour. There were vintage styles, elegant cuts and then, some just for fun, like the sequined tutu-dress, pink to match my hair! 🎀

My tutu was ready, now, the show had to be, too! But it had to be unique. This was a Prague ballet! The Prague skyline and the iconic Charles Bridge – I could see it in my head – and the whole city would be in my tutu.

The Power of a Pink Tutu: Dancing My Heart Out in Prague

Oh my dears, that evening, I hit the stage with a heart full of passion and a tutu ready to paint the town pink! My ballet performance was so exciting! I felt that the whole city was in my performance, and that’s what makes my ballet so unique; my performances are not just in studios, but in unique places – around the world – and all with a beautiful, magical story to tell. The lights beamed on my pink tutu, and I poured my heart and soul into the dance! ✨

It was like something out of a dream. The stage felt like it was flowing under my feet, the audience entranced by my graceful moves. For those few precious moments, I was lost in the magic, telling a story that resonated with the crowd. And after the performance, I saw the same gleam of excitement and passion in their eyes that I see in every ballerina I meet. 🩰

I can’t help but think there is a secret ballet world in every city around the world! This magical world of grace, fluidity, movement, music, stories. And you can take a tutu on your journey – everywhere.

And that's a wrap for my magical pink tutu adventure in Prague! 🗼 👠 💖 Be sure to check back next Wednesday for another captivating post, filled with fashion, travel, and ballet!

Until then,

Stay glamorous, Emma xxx
