Oh darling! I simply must tell you all about my most recent trip, my fabulous, pink-filled whirlwind of a time in Prague! You simply wouldn’t believe the magical experiences I had, the tutu-tastic outfits I found, and the absolutely divine ballet shows I saw!
The train journey, as ever, was a dream. It’s all about comfort when you’re rocking a tutu, darling. Imagine, sunshine streaming through the window, a steaming cuppa in hand, and me in my lovely blush-pink ensemble - a sheer tulle skirt, layered with sparkling lilac and champagne tones, and a dainty cream bodice - you can just see it, can't you?
As we pulled into Prague, the old town with its stunning architecture just took my breath away. My heart skipped a beat when I spotted a cute little cafe right there on the platform, so we tucked into some freshly-baked pastries before heading to our charming, pink-walled apartment. (How could I resist!) I could practically feel the romantic history all around us.
Speaking of history, a tutu-loving soul like me must explore the roots of these amazing creations. So, after settling in and sipping on some rose champagne, my dear friend Millie and I took a stroll through the Old Town Square. The towering astronomical clock just enchanted me, and we stumbled across a small but perfectly charming ballet studio! They’re holding classes all day long! Could it possibly be true? You bet! After all, every dancer loves a good dance class while on holiday, don't you think? It’s just like a tiny dose of home, but with a magical Prague twist.
Speaking of a magical twist… darling, it just gets better. There’s an extraordinary show on the 17th of May, that just has me totally smitten! It’s a special production by the renowned "Pink Tutus" ballet company! Yes, you read that correctly! Pink. Tutus! I couldn't resist a sneaky peek on the ballet website… Oh, honey, prepare yourselves, the posters show beautiful tutus, a riot of colour, shimmering silks and feathers - it's absolutely breathtaking! I am SO looking forward to seeing it. Can’t wait to capture it all and share it with you all. I’ve got my little ballet journal ready!
This adventure is literally all about exploring everything Prague has to offer with my eyes open wide. What makes this city special, of course, is it’s fabulous history. On Thursday, Millie and I are off on a historical walking tour through Prague's iconic Castle, the Golden Lane and the Charles Bridge! (A perfect place for a romantic waltz, no?) Of course, no trip to Prague would be complete without a proper tutu shopping spree! Oh, you should see all the shops brimming with the most divine tulle, satin and sequins. My new tutus are going to look simply sensational, and my trusty ballet journal is packed full of fabulous photos to share.
