Prague: Ballet, Babeczki and Bohemian Rhapsody (Post #1165)

Bonjour, my darling dance enthusiasts! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another pink-tutu-tastic blog post from your favourite tutu-clad traveller! Today, we're waltzing through the cobbled streets of Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires, and let me tell you, my tutu has been feeling extra twirly here.

Prague is a city that makes you feel like you've stepped into a fairytale. The medieval architecture, the winding alleyways, the echoes of history in every corner - it's pure magic! And with a burgeoning ballet scene and some of the most exquisite vintage shops in Europe, Prague is a veritable tutu-lover's paradise!

The Prague Ballet: A Tale of Tutus and Tradition

Before we get lost in the beauty of Prague's historic centre, let's chat ballet, shall we? I made sure to secure tickets for the National Theatre in Prague, the jewel in the crown of the city's cultural scene. Tonight's performance was a vibrant rendition of "La Sylphide", and it was absolutely enchanting!

Imagine: delicate tutus, flowing silk, graceful movements and an atmosphere that makes you feel as though you've been transported back in time. The ballet is so intertwined with Prague's history and artistic spirit, you can practically feel it in the air. I think my tutu was even feeling a bit sentimental watching these beautiful dancers tell their stories with such passion.

Pink-tutu shopping spree: Vintage finds and Bohemian style

Now, onto the part you all know I live for: shopping! Prague's streets are a treasure trove of vintage boutiques and independent shops bursting with bohemian flair. I can't resist a bit of vintage shopping, especially when it comes to finding beautiful tulle, ribbons and vintage dancewear. The intricate patterns and rich textures have been inspiring my new tutu designs! I may have a couple of secret stashes of treasures hidden away, shh... it's a secret!

A sweet treat: Babeczki and coffee time

What's a day of dancing and exploring without a bit of indulgence, right? In the heart of Old Town, I stumbled upon a little cafรฉ that smells like pure heaven. It's called "Babeczki," and it specialises in, you guessed it, cupcakes! With the cutest array of pink frosting and sprinkles, I almost didn't want to eat them! I may have devoured two in one sitting, but it's for a good cause - I need all the energy I can get for twirling through these stunning streets.

My Prague Pony Ride: Galloping into history

What's a trip to Prague without experiencing its historical side? Well, in my case, it meant a pony ride through the Old Town Square. The Prague astronomical clock, with its fascinating moving figurines, has always been on my travel bucket list and I thought what better way to admire it than with a little pony trot around the square. I managed to snap some stunning photos, my tutu in the foreground and the glorious Prague skyline in the background. This was the perfect balance of history and fun!

Fashion, fun and friendship: The Prague way

My trip to Prague has been nothing short of delightful. The city itself is like a work of art, the ballet is truly inspiring, and I've found some treasures I'll cherish forever. If you're ever looking for a city that combines historical charm with modern chic, Prague is the place to be.

And remember, my dear dancers, the magic of a tutu is in the power it gives you to embrace your individuality. It's about expressing yourself, pushing your boundaries and spreading joy wherever you go.

Until next time, keep dancing, stay stylish and never, ever stop twirling!
