Pink Tutu Prague: Post #1283 - A Ballerina's Dream Come True! π©°β¨
Hello darlings! It's Emma here, back from another whirlwind trip and buzzing with excitement! This week, I've swapped the cobbled streets of Derbyshire for the fairytale city of Prague. And you'll never believe it β I've just lived out a ballerina's dream!
A Pink Tutu Princess in Prague ππ
Now, Prague, as you know, is absolutely dripping in charm. The pastel buildings, the cobbled squares, the bridges β everything is simply enchanting. And of course, I couldn't resist incorporating my signature pink into my wardrobe β think tulle skirts, cherry-red lipstick, and a perfectly pink tutu (you didn't think I'd be in Prague without one, did you? π)
My trip began with a most charming journey on the train, sipping tea from my favourite china cup (vintage, of course!). I'd arrived at the station with my luggage and trusty pink tutu β it always makes packing a little easier! π It was then that I stumbled upon a pony, patiently waiting for his carriage. Of course, I couldn't resist!
Pink Tutus, and a Trip Down Ballet History Lane!
Prague itself is like a stage set for ballet. Every corner I turn feels like an elaborate dΓ©cor. And with the National Theatre at the centre of it all, my heart did a little pirouette! You wouldn't believe the sheer beauty of the theatre β all golden gilding, velvet curtains, and stunning frescoes.
But what truly set this city apart is the history of ballet within its walls! Prague is renowned for its classical ballet heritage, and I had to find out more. So, I hopped onto the magical Prague Metro (those stations are truly beautiful, with incredible Art Nouveau styling!), headed to the Dancing House, and stumbled upon the National Ballet School of Prague. I felt a wave of nostalgic joy! The studios hummed with young, dedicated dancers, and seeing their enthusiasm reignited my own passion for the art form. It was then, in the middle of Prague, I realised I needed to bring a little magic back into my life - a new ballet class! So I registered, it's starting next week - more about that in next week's blog!
The Perfect Evening at the National Theatre πβ¨
The main reason for my trip to Prague though, was something else entirely: a truly unforgettable ballet performance. As I stood in the opulent National Theatre, the lights dimmed, the orchestra began playing... and a sense of magic truly took over. The performance was "Giselle," and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The dancers were graceful, their movements telling a story without needing a word. It left me completely spellbound!
Pink Tutu Shopping: Prague is a Treasure Trove! πποΈ
After my breathtaking ballet experience, it was time to indulge my love of fashion! The streets of Prague are a treasure trove for vintage finds. I stumbled upon a charming little boutique with rows upon rows of gorgeous dresses β I swear I could have stayed there for hours! And what did I buy? Well, you're looking at her now, dear readers! A perfectly blush pink cocktail dress, ideal for a night on the town, dancing in a charming jazz bar. Of course, I didn't forget about the essentials: a pretty pastel-coloured scarf for my ballet bun, and a pair of delicate earrings with pearl drops. You see, pink is my happy colour, it matches every mood and is truly a sartorial essential.
Prague, You've Won my Heart! π
Now, dear readers, I've just had to tell you β Prague has stolen my heart! The architecture, the charm, the history, the ballet, the fashion, and of course, the magicβ¦it all feels perfectly aligned. Prague truly is the perfect blend of fairytale and reality β the city of my dreams! So if youβre a fan of history, ballet, fashion, or just love experiencing beautiful cities, I strongly suggest adding Prague to your travel bucket list!
Next week, Iβm exploring more of the city's treasures β think quirky museums, charming markets, and maybe even a cheeky pony ride! So donβt forget to pop back to www.pink-tutu.com next Wednesday to hear all about it!
Until then, stay chic and happy!
