Hello darlings! Itās Wednesday, which means itās time for a brand-new Pink Tutu blog post. This week, Iām bursting with excitement, because guess where I am? drumroll intensifies That's right, you beautiful souls, I'm in Prague, the breathtaking City of a Hundred Spires!
My trusty steed, Taffy the chestnut pony, might not be able to get me across the continent quite yet, but my loyal friend, the Orient Express, got me here in style. It's all about the journey, right? Even train journeys become fashion runways when you have a pink tutu, darling!
And let me tell you, this city is a sartorial dream come true. So much cobbled charm, Gothic architecture, and a fairytale vibe thatās just begging to be explored ā all in my favourite colour: pink!
Prague is definitely on the top of my āpink-tastic citiesā list! This place truly embraces the pastel palette and you'd be hard pressed to find a building that isn't graced with a shade of pink.
From the iconic Pink House, an extravagant example of Pragueās art nouveau era, to the charming pink-hued coffee shops tucked away on side streets, there's a constant burst of delightful pink goodness! Itās enough to make your heart skip a beat (or maybe that's just my twirling in a tutu?).
Of course, the ballet world here in Prague is also absolutely magical! Iām thrilled to share that I just finished my third ballet class at the National Theatre. Talk about a fairytale location. You should see the elegant architecture, it's enough to make you feel like a princess on stage! And speaking of princess, did I mention the amazing tutu they let me borrow?
I've fallen head-over-heels in love with this City of Music, darling. Everywhere you go, you can hear beautiful melodies filtering through the air. Itās a symphony for the soul, and even the trams seem to waltz through the streets!
Speaking of the trams, theyāre a pink tutu enthusiast's dream. While many European cities boast charming, retro tramways, Prague really puts on a show. I'm in love with the vintage-style, cherry-pink trams! I mean, wouldn't it be fabulous to have an entire tramway just for tutus? Thatās a pink-tastic vision Iām working on. Maybe for my next blog post?
Tonight, I'm absolutely spoilt for choice. Thereās a grand performance of The Nutcracker at the National Theatre ā a true ballet icon! Imagine, dancing snowflakes and sugar plum fairies in front of that breathtaking theatre interior. This is a ballet-lover's paradise, my dears.
And who can resist the allure of Prague Castle? It's absolutely sprawling, so I've made a day of it. Itās like walking through a real-life fairytale. They have incredible exhibitions showcasing centuries of fashion, and even a museum devoted to the history of tutus!
Speaking of tutus, darling, have you seen the amazing ballet shop here? Just walking by makes you want to twirl! I had to pick up a new pair of pink-feather boa, to complete my Prague wardrobe! My tutus need new adornments to showcase all the lovely new sights.
One of my favourite places has to be the Charles Bridge. Not only is it stunning to behold, with all those statues, but itās also the best place for watching the world go by ā with a pink tutu, naturally. Itās also a great spot to do some people-watching.
My favourite moment? Watching a group of ballet dancers ā even dressed in regular clothes, you can tell! ā perform for tips on the Charles Bridge. It truly proves the power of the tutu, the elegance and charm of dance knows no bounds, not even in Prague's cool autumn air!
Prague is simply magical. You have to see it for yourself, darling! You can wander cobblestone streets with a cappuccino in hand, or take a fairytale horse-drawn carriage ride through the Old Town Square. This place is simply bursting with wonder.
For those who like the finer things in life, Prague doesnāt disappoint! You'll be hard pressed to find more exquisite, boutique shops anywhere in Europe. The stores are filled with the most fabulous pink items, so of course Iāve had to add a few more to my collection. You can find anything from exquisite handmade jewellery, to whimsical fashion, all in shades of blush and rose. Prague has got you covered, literally, with the perfect pink outfit!
Before you pack your bags and head off to this glorious city, darling, letās discuss your travel style. The train is definitely my favourite for reaching the continentās treasures, but the pony express is what really defines my style. So when I am back in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, Taffy will be waiting to take me on more adventures. And let's face it, who doesn't love a touch of whimsy, right?
Prague has completely captured my heart. It's like a whirlwind romance, darling, full of cobblestone streets, delicious treats, and an atmosphere thatās undeniably enchanting.
This has been a fantastic start to my Pink Tutu adventure, but you know me ā my ballerina soul is always yearning for the next adventure. I canāt wait to see what Prague has in store, darling! Until next week, keep twirling and spread the pink-tastic love!
