Prague, My Love! Pink Tutu Adventures in the City of a Thousand Spires ā€“ #1407

Hello darlings! Itā€™s Emma, your pink tutu-loving blogger, reporting live from the magical city of Prague! As you know, Wednesday is Pink Tutu day here at www.pink-tutu.com, and this week Iā€™m sharing my heart-filled adventures from the Czech Republic!

Now, Prague, my dears, is truly a fairytale city. I arrived last week after a delightful journey on a vintage steam train, my pink tutu, naturally, attracting more than a few admiring glances from fellow travellers (not to mention a rather handsome chap who offered to hold my luggage ā€“ just the sort of romance a pink tutu inspires, donā€™t you think?).

This city is a symphony of architectural beauty. Just the sight of the Charles Bridge, with its medieval stonework and bustling atmosphere, had me practically twirling in the cobblestone streets! My Instagram followers are going wild for my pics of the Old Town Square, where the iconic astronomical clock captivated me. Honestly, it's a wonder I managed to stop long enough for a photo, because I felt a definite urge to pirouette in front of that beauty!

Pink Tutu Fashion in Prague

Prague is simply divine for shopping, and my pink tutu was an absolute necessity for this trip! Imagine my joy when I found a delightful vintage boutique, crammed with frothy pastel delights! I scored a darling tulle skirt in a shade of blush pink, a vintage feather boa (which would look perfect for a ballerina swan costume, don't you think?), and a little clutch bag adorned with sequined hearts - oh, it was practically made for my pink tutu!

Speaking of pink, Prague itself seems to have embraced the colour with open arms. From the delicate pastel hues of the old town houses to the bright fuchsia-pink flowers spilling from window boxes, it's as if the city itself understands the sheer elegance and happiness that a little pink can bring.

A Ballet-Filled Sojourn in Prague

Now, let's talk ballet, shall we? A visit to Prague wouldn't be complete without a ballet performance, and tonight is the big night! I'm excited to see the National Theatreā€™s production of Giselle at the stunning National Theatre building. My heart already leaps at the thought of those ethereal dances, the heart-wrenching story, and the exquisite costumes. Honestly, my tutu feels a bit overshadowed by the grandeur of Prague and the ballet's allure, but weā€™ll get our turn on the stage tonight - with my trusty camera, naturally!

Tutu-ing around Prague's Treasures

Yesterday, I treated myself to a day exploring the whimsical alleys and hidden courtyards. This city is an absolute haven for artists and street performers, and I spent a glorious afternoon watching a lively street ballet group. They were phenomenal! It felt like I was right there in a performance on the streets, and my tutu was quite the hit with the audience, especially the children!

And my dear blog readers, I just have to tell you about a wonderful little cafĆ© I stumbled upon, tucked away on a cobblestoned side street. They serve the most delicious coffee (they've got my favourite ā€“ almond latte!) and the most gorgeous pink pastries! Honestly, Iā€™ve never had a slice of cake more deserving of my pink tutuā€™s presence!

Tutu History and Prague

This cityā€™s rich history and architectural grandeur are the perfect inspiration for a fashionista like me. I was intrigued by the story of Maria Theresa, who adored fashion and had an extensive wardrobe that included several lavish ballet skirts, known back then as ā€œbouffantsā€. Imagine the glorious tutu history to be unearthed in the city where such a fashion-conscious ruler lived! And the legacy of fashion that continues to inspire our love of the art of dress is astounding!

Ballet in Prague - Where History Meets Elegance

Tonight's performance, however, is not just about the show. Iā€™m incredibly interested in learning more about the Czech Republicā€™s rich history of ballet. Itā€™s truly fascinating! Pragueā€™s Ballet School, founded in 1789, was considered one of the most important in the world at the time. The school still runs today, which is a wonderful testament to the lasting power of ballet within the country.

More Prague Adventures on the Way

But the best part? This is just the beginning of my Prague adventure. My pink tutu and I will be exploring this amazing city for the next few days. Tomorrow, Iā€™m planning a trip to Prague Castle (just imagine my Instagram pictures!), and maybe even a detour to Petrin Hill to take in the spectacular city views from above. Itā€™ll be my perfect opportunity for some graceful pirouettes, with a dramatic skyline as my backdrop!

My lovelies, stay tuned for more from Prague next week! I'll share all the details of the ballet performance, my latest fashion finds, and more. Until then, spread the pink tutu love and let your inner ballerina shine!

Bisous,

Emma
