First things first: the journey to Prague. Did I mention I'm obsessed with trains? There’s just something so romantic about chugging through the countryside, sipping a latte and dreaming of my next dance performance. It's such a wonderful feeling of anticipation for the adventure that awaits! Of course, my wardrobe had to be perfectly curated for the occasion.
It was a chic pink-hued outfit, darling. Think delicate lace and blush-pink silk with a delicate pearl necklace to match. And my favourite part? Oh my goodness, the moment we arrived in Prague station, my jaw hit the floor! The grand architecture, the intricate carvings, and the charming bustle – it was all so beautiful. But Prague isn’t just about looks, darling. The city’s heart beats with a passion for culture, art, and of course, dance!
Speaking of which, we went straight to my favourite spot – the National Theatre. It's a truly iconic building! A dazzling combination of elegance and grandeur – oh, how I dreamed of waltzing on its stage!

The National Theatre is so important to Prague’s history, darling, it almost sings with the spirit of its people. Founded in the 19th century by a passionate group who wanted to build a national theatre dedicated to Czech culture, it’s like a heart filled with the hopes and dreams of a whole nation. And guess what? It played host to ballet from the very start!
I learned so much about the ballet history of Prague, from the founding of the theatre, to the legendary ballerinas and choreographers that have danced its stages. Did you know there was even a "Czech ballet school" established in the late 19th century that sent dancers around the globe? What a remarkable legacy!
Tutu-licious Treats
After exploring the National Theatre, darling, I just had to indulge in some Prague pastries. They’re divine! Think layers of puff pastry, swirls of cinnamon, and just a touch of powdered sugar… my favourite was filled with cream! It was the perfect sweet treat for a tiring day, and as you can imagine, it was very photogenic. Of course, it would have looked so much better with a delicate pink tutu scarf, wouldn't you say?

Prague’s passion for dance goes beyond the theatre, darlings. It’s in every corner, every street, and in every beat of the city’s vibrant pulse. And there are so many ways to enjoy the ballet here! I spent hours exploring the stunning architecture of the Old Town Square – it’s like walking through a fairytale! – but for me, the best moments were the unexpected ones: ballet dancers performing on the street, a troupe of young girls twirling their way down a cobbled path, and the sight of families gathered around a violinist playing graceful classical tunes.
Dress To Impress – Shopping in Prague
Now, darling, no trip is complete without a shopping spree, and Prague’s a haven for fashionistas! From chic boutiques to quirky vintage shops, I was in my element! My biggest discovery? A dreamy shop filled with tutus in every shade of pink imaginable! The perfect spot for all my tutu needs, let me tell you. I stocked up on pink tutu accessories to add some Parisian je ne sais quoi to my outfit – you just can’t have too much pink, can you? I even got some delightful pink tutus for my little cousins back in Derbyshire - they’ll love them!
My Dreamy Prague Ballet Experience
I can't forget the main event, darlings! The very reason I travelled all the way to Prague! I went to a ballet performance at the National Theatre, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of incredible! Imagine yourself transported to another world, captivated by the graceful movements of the dancers, the elegant costumes, the magnificent sets... it's magic! The performance was pure artistry, and it reminded me how much ballet inspires me. And the music was breathtaking!
Making Memories in Pink
I spent my days in Prague exploring, laughing, shopping, dancing, and dreaming in pink. My adventures led me down narrow alleyways lined with colourful shops, through charming courtyards bursting with blooms, and to the very top of Prague Castle - which has the most amazing views, by the way! It was all so picture perfect that it’s almost hard to believe. I'm already planning my next trip back to Prague - I need to see everything this amazing city has to offer.
A Tutu-ful End to a Perfect Trip
My time in Prague was truly a dream come true. Prague, with its beauty, elegance, and unforgettable atmosphere has left an undeniably magical impression on my heart. And what better way to say goodbye than with a ballet class under the shimmering glow of Prague’s city lights? It was just me, a handful of graceful local dancers, and the enchanting rhythm of ballet.
