Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed travel blogger, and I'm thrilled to be bringing you a new adventure from the magical city of Prague! As you all know, I love travelling by train - especially the comfy first class carriage where you can actually stretch your legs out. It felt like a fairytale ride, gliding through the countryside, feeling the breeze on my face as we approached the city.
It’s my one hundred and fifty-second blog post and it’s been a dream to finally visit Prague, known for its stunning architecture and rich cultural heritage, it's like stepping into a storybook. It was the perfect setting for my latest performance at the beautiful National Theatre - talk about a dramatic entrance! But of course, I’ll tell you all about that later.
Pink Tutu Prague: Fashionably Fabulous!
This week, my outfit had to be extra special for this city. Let's just say it was all about that gorgeous blush-pink tulle tutu - it practically flowed like a river! I paired it with a crisp, white blouse that added a touch of sophistication, and finished the look with delicate pearl earrings and matching pumps. Because let's be honest, a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes, especially when they’re this fabulous.
I couldn't resist visiting some of Prague’s incredible antique shops for some vintage fashion finds. Let me tell you, I practically died and went to fashion heaven! There were some beautiful vintage dresses - oh my word, I almost bought everything! I snagged a vintage silk scarf that perfectly complemented my outfit for the theatre - I always have to have a touch of vintage for those special occasions.
And, you know I couldn't resist some pink goodies for my blog! I found a cute little shop that sold everything pink, from candy and macarons to tutus and fairy lights! Of course, I bought enough to make my own pink explosion when I got back to my hotel room!
The Ballet Dreamscape of the National Theatre
Tonight, it’s the highlight of the trip. A performance of “La Bayadère” by the National Theatre Ballet. The sheer beauty of the theatre itself is enough to take your breath away! With its ornate facade, the majestic interior just made the entire performance more enchanting.
The story, based on a temple dancer in 19th-century India, just pulled me right in. I loved the dancing! It was so elegant and passionate. And, the music by Ludwig Minkus was just exquisite. This performance was something really special and truly worth celebrating. I'm still dreaming about it!
