Prague, Youāre Absolutely Enchanting! (Pink Tutu Blog Post #1516)
Wednesday, June 26th, 2024
Hello darlings! Itās Emma here, back with another pink-tastic blog post from Prague. I'm currently nestled in the most delightful boutique hotel with its very own Juliet balcony overlooking a cobblestone square ā so chic! It feels like I've stepped into a fairy tale. Speaking of fairy tales, this city is practically dripping with romance. The architecture, the quaint cafes, the river with its bridges, the history ā everything seems designed to spark joy. I'm absolutely smitten!
Before we dive into the glamorous details, let me tell you a little about my journey here. I opted for a magical, vintage travel experience: a leisurely train ride through the heart of Europe, followed by a charming, slightly unexpected pony ride through the picturesque Czech countryside. I know what you're thinking: āPony ride? What on earth!ā Well, I discovered this wonderful stable offering pony rides to tourists and, being a bit of a sucker for the unusual, I simply couldnāt resist. It was actually quite splendid, galloping across fields dotted with wildflowers, a far cry from the bustling train journey, but a perfect introduction to the relaxed Czech charm.
Now, about Prague! This magnificent city has captured my heart with its blend of classic and modern style, all seamlessly intertwined. It's impossible to stroll along the cobbled streets without being mesmerised by the majestic buildings ā from the iconic Charles Bridge to the beautiful Prague Castle. The whole place feels like an open-air museum dedicated to grand design and artistry.
Speaking of artistry, you know me, ballet is always at the forefront of my travels, and I'm thrilled to tell you about my ballet experiences in Prague! Last night, I enjoyed a mesmerizing performance of "La Sylphide" at the famed National Theatre. I've seen numerous productions of this classic ballet, but this was particularly enchanting, a feast for the eyes with its elegant choreography and ethereal costumes. Oh, the tutus! They were exquisite, particularly one, crafted from shimmering white gauze and adorned with the most delicate lace. I swear I caught myself longing for it, a pink tutu would surely make it even more enchanting!
While I've always loved attending shows, one of my passions is getting lost in ballet classes. In fact, a couple of days ago, I had the delightful opportunity to try a ballet class at the āPraha Danceā studio. Now, while I wouldnāt say Iām quite ready for the Royal Ballet, it was such a lovely experience! The teacher was a real sweetheart, incredibly patient and encouraging, and the other students were absolutely lovely ā we all embraced the joy of pirouettes together, the only language needed being that of shared passion. I can tell you, these classes definitely fuel my tutu desires!
Speaking of the tutu desire, darling, have I mentioned Pragueās fantastic fashion scene? Letās just say the stores here are bursting with stylish treasures, making this city a shopping paradise for any fashion enthusiast. Just yesterday, I discovered this enchanting little boutique hidden away in a cobbled alley. It was chock-full of the most beautiful silk scarves, antique brooches, and even a delightful collection of hats that screamed "Parisian chic." And you know I couldnāt resist snapping up a couple of beautiful scarves to add some bohemian flair to my travel wardrobe ā the kind of piece you can wear with just about anything, even a tutu!
You'll have to forgive me, darlings, my journey to this beautiful city has awakened the romantic within me. I find myself completely enamoured with the picturesque cafes nestled on winding lanes, enjoying delectable coffees and warm pastries as I people-watch, soaking in the charming ambiance. The coffee is some of the best Iāve had on my travels - itās the perfect compliment to any day exploring the city.
Speaking of which, today is all about getting lost in Pragueās charm. On the agenda is exploring the magical old town, perhaps stumbling upon another little gem of a shop, soaking in the vibrant street life, and perhaps catching a theatrical performance in the afternoon. (One with tutus, obviously!)
Iām convinced Prague is a city that understands the power of pink. In fact, it was actually inspired by pink tutus (don't laugh!), when I first saw Pragueās vibrant and picturesque squares bursting with colour I thought ā 'This place is a symphony of pink'! All I need to do is bring everyone a pink tutu to make the place even more special, perhaps my life's work?
I promise to update you soon, with more pink-tastic details of my Parisian journey! Don't forget to join me on www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday, where we'll be celebrating everything pink, chic, and just a little bit magical!
Love and Pink, Emma
P.S. Donāt forget to tell me your thoughts! I'd love to hear your favorite moments in Prague, and whether youāve found yourself embracing your inner ballerina and tutu loving, just like me!
