Good morning, darling tutu lovers! 🩰💖 It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad adventurer, Emma, writing to you from the enchanting city of Prague!
Now, I know Christmas Day is usually for festive feasting and family fun, but this year, yours truly is ditching the turkey for a taste of Prague's cultural delights. After all, when there's a chance to experience the magic of ballet in this gorgeous city, who needs roast potatoes? 🥔 (No offence, gran!).
The past few days have been an absolute whirl! My train journey here was pure joy, complete with the requisite hot chocolate and a good old-fashioned book on the history of the tutu (one must always stay on top of their tutuspiration!). 📚 Arriving in Prague was like stepping into a fairytale, with its cobbled streets, stunning architecture, and a palpable sense of history.
Now, Prague is no stranger to a pink tutu, I must confess. This city absolutely oozes elegance and fashion-forwardness. The charming boutiques are practically bursting with stunning fabrics, perfect for those custom-designed tutus I’m always dreaming up. 🛍️
And then, of course, there's the ballet! I simply adore watching talented dancers bring the stories to life, and here in Prague, the performance scene is positively vibrant. Ballet performances, street dancers, even the occasional impromptu flash mob – I've been soaking it all up like a sponge, every twirl and plié a treat for the soul! ✨
But today, the real star of the show is the incredible National Theatre of Prague! I’ve already secured my ticket for tonight’s Christmas Day ballet performance – a special one-off rendition of The Nutcracker, featuring a glittering, full-length, diamond-studded pink tutu on Clara herself (I heard about it from the grapevine, naturally!). ✨🎄🤫 I simply can't wait to see the costumes!
Later this week, I'm off to explore Prague Castle, wander the historic Charles Bridge, and perhaps even find a hidden café with a charming courtyard where I can practice some of my own moves. 🏰 🌉 ☕️ It wouldn’t be a proper Pink Tutu adventure without a little ballet street-style, would it?
