#PinkTutuPrague Ballet in Prague 2027-06-23

Hello darlings! Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger, and this week I'm whisking you all away to the enchanting city of Prague!

The train journey was a dream. I love travelling by rail. You get a chance to relax, admire the scenery and dream of tutus and all things pink! (This journey included some of the most fabulous mountains I've ever seen- all topped with snow! Absolutely perfect. I must make sure my next tutu has mountains on it!)

And then, after a delicious sandwich from the buffet car (salmon with capers and dill - divine!), we arrived in Prague. It was like stepping back in time, with cobblestone streets, beautiful buildings and a buzz of excitement in the air! And let's not forget, a delicious whiff of pastries and beer that's a real treat for the senses!

My trip to Prague had one clear aim: to witness the magic of ballet in a beautiful city! You see, darlings, my life's work is to promote the joy and joy of pink tutus! And where better to do that than in a city like Prague?

And this week's post is about my favourite ballet! So put on your dancing shoes (pink ones of course!) and let's get started...

This week I was incredibly fortunate to see "Prague's Jewels" at the magnificent National Theatre. This incredible performance, inspired by Czech culture and the city's incredible beauty, had me utterly spellbound from the first notes of music!

You know I love a story in ballet, darlings. The choreography, set in the 15th Century and inspired by real Prague history, took us through fairy tales and legends.

The stage was set like a jewel box (naturally!). Gorgeous, elaborate sets, intricate costumes, and a beautiful blend of light and shadow truly captured the mystery and magic of Prague itself. There was so much to enjoy: from graceful waltzes to vigorous sword fights, this performance offered something for everyone.

Speaking of beautiful and intricate, I was drawn to the colours used. So many pretty hues! There was the emerald green of the forest and the ruby red of the palace jewels, of course, but for me, the stars of the show were the delicate pinks that were featured in several scenes. They were light and airy and really spoke to my love of ballet!

My little tip for any ballerinas wanting to find a tutu fit for a royal princess? Don't just pick any pink - you've got to find the one that's light and airy, with the perfect shade. Just like the tutus in the "Prague's Jewels" production, those hues create a feeling of dreamlike enchantment - perfect for ballet!

This performance really got my creative juices flowing, darlings! I'm thinking about incorporating Czech-inspired design features into my next tutu! Imagine intricate beadwork that pays homage to Prague's exquisite architecture or sparkly tulle that captures the sparkle of Czech glass!

Speaking of the sparkle, I just HAD to stop and snap some photos of the gorgeous jewellery that is showcased at the "Prague's Jewels" show! Some dazzling creations inspired by Czech legends, the history of the city, and even fairy tales (what's a ballerina to do? Fairy tales are all part of our work, after all!)

After the show, I decided to immerse myself in the pinkest of Prague, finding a little tea room (imagine! "Tea" and "room!" Two of my favourite things!) named "The Rose Garden."

Let me tell you, darlings, this wasn't your ordinary afternoon tea! With pink walls, pink china cups and pink teacakes that made the whole room look like a fairytale, it was truly a delicious experience for my eyes as much as my stomach.

Then, after indulging in a pink meringue pie that I almost didn't want to leave the room to walk on to my next stop!

The day was not complete, however, without exploring the city! Cobbled streets that wound like a pink tutu. Baroque churches that glowed in the setting sun - it was like I'd stepped into a painting!

Of course, any shopping adventure is worth it if it involves finding something pink and lovely, isn't it? I was able to snag some of the prettiest hand-painted porcelain souvenirs at a small market, with a touch of blush pink and gorgeous detail!

The only thing I needed now was some dancing shoes and I'd be perfect for a pink Parisian waltz - though with no ballerinas around in Prague, that was left to my imagination... Until the next time!

As you can tell, I fell head over heels in love with Prague. But don't take my word for it - here are some top tutu-approved tips to make your pink-tinted trip to Prague just as magical:

1. Pack your prettiest pink outfits! Prague is all about romantic architecture and whimsical stories, and what better way to complement it than with your favourite pink ensembles?

2. Embark on a fairytale-themed adventure! Explore Prague Castle, get lost in the cobbled streets of the Old Town Square, and enjoy a sunset cruise on the Vltava River (what's a little fairytale cruise?)!

3. Discover a hidden pink paradise! Prague is full of charming cafes and boutiques! Go explore them all!

4. Embrace the art of dance. Enjoy a traditional Czech ballet, such as "Prague's Jewels." Even if it's just dancing through the squares to some street music. The city itself is perfect for some lovely balletic inspired photography !
