Pink Tutu Prague: Post 1712 - A Ballet-tastic Whirlwind!

Hello lovelies! It’s Emma here, and welcome to another glorious week of Pink Tutu adventures! This week I'm jet-setting to the stunning city of Prague. Yes, you heard right – it’s me, your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, ready to conquer Prague and, of course, share every delicious, twirling moment with you!

Now, you know how much I love to travel, especially by train – the romance, the views, and the opportunity for an excellent travel outfit! A sleek black midi dress, some delicate jewellery, and of course, my signature pink tutu cascading down in graceful swirls, for a touch of elegance that never fails to draw admiring glances. My pony, Penelope, was happy to travel with me as usual! She knows Prague like the back of her hoof! (Her favourite place for a quick sugar hit is the Horse Shoe Bar).

But let’s be honest – I wasn’t just there for the scenery! The highlight of my trip had to be the “PinkTutuPrague” ballet performance – a glorious spectacle of graceful dance, exquisite costumes, and an absolutely mesmerising score. As a ballerina, it goes without saying, I love attending live performances. I could literally sit in a theatre and watch ballets all day long. However, this was no ordinary ballet. It was infused with the pure essence of the city of Prague, with each movement evoking a particular architectural or historical element. I mean, could anything be more enchanting? The costumes, my dear lovelies, were truly a masterpiece – swirling silks, glittering sequins, and even some absolutely divine tutus – naturally pink ones! The dancers were divine, so effortlessly fluid, as they weaved through the story. It’s always a real privilege to be transported into another world by ballet, and I truly feel my life has been enriched from watching such an exceptional performance. You must see this show if you get the chance – book it now! It's one for the memory books!

Speaking of memories, one of the things I love about traveling is creating my own stories – that feeling of exploration, of discovering new places and experiences. You see, dear readers, there is nothing quite as special as embracing the unknown.

Prague didn't disappoint! The city, I am pleased to announce, has officially become one of my new favourite cities in the whole wide world! It was absolutely bursting with life! It was an experience I would gladly relive, a kaleidoscope of cobbled streets, elegant cafes, historic churches, charming markets and that indescribable sense of magical enchantment, making Prague one of the most inspiring places to get your "ballet feels."

My blog wouldn't be the same without sharing a little bit of my love for clothes with you! Now, we all know that Prague is an absolute fashion heaven, and you won't find a single pink-tutu-loving ballerina resisting its allure. My travels included a visit to a quaint little boutique tucked away in a cobbled street. There, I stumbled upon an absolute treasure trove of fashion gems. They had everything I could ever dream of – lace, velvet, and my absolute favourite - a selection of exquisite, handcrafted tutus! I simply couldn't leave without several new additions for my collection – all beautifully designed, perfect for a ballerina's whimsical and charming style. Oh! It's such a delight, finding unique items for your wardrobe – a touch of "that special something" that speaks to your personal style! So don't just read, take action! Treat yourself to a new tutu or maybe something to bring some "pink" into your life. And remember: life is just too short for boring clothes!

For every little ballerina out there, it was truly the perfect adventure – the charming historical atmosphere and fairytale buildings of Prague transported me back in time! You know how much I adore the romance and historical grandeur of buildings – the more lavish the better. That's what truly sparked the inner ballerina in me. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed exploring the Old Town Square, its beauty illuminated at night by the lights. It made me yearn for that age of elegance, the lavish costumes, and the romantic dances in opulent ballrooms. Prague was a fairytale, pure and simple. I mean, is it really possible to have an unpleasant time in such a stunning place? I highly doubt it.

Before we wrap up this ballet-tastic blog, I couldn’t leave you without sharing my essential “Pink Tutu” tips for making your Prague adventure a memorable one:

  • The Ballet Fix: Treat yourself to the magnificent performance - PinkTutuPrague, you will absolutely not be disappointed! The show takes you on a journey of historical intrigue in the city. And don’t forget, we love a little bit of “tutu history.” It’s always delightful to see those little fluffy numbers come to life.
  • The Food Factor: Prague has got so much going on in the foodie world. I enjoyed sampling traditional Czech food – my favourites included trdelník (a cinnamon pastry) and svíčková (a beef sirloin with cream sauce). Yum! My personal foodie tip – if you're after a good dose of sugary sweetness, a little sweet creaming cake, in the words of Marie Antoinette, is “worth it.”
  • The Beauty of the Streets: Spend some time wandering around the gorgeous cobbled streets. You will fall in love with their charm and find the perfect spot for the perfect selfie! Just remember - even a ballerina needs a well-chosen selfie pose - don't forget to let that Tutu fly!
  • *Pony Up!: * Grab a pony! That’s right – Penelope’s secret pony haven for all you lovely ballerinas who adore “pony therapy.” Head to the "Pony in Prague" site. It's so much fun!
  • The Tutu Shopping Treat: Every balerina knows that no trip is complete without a touch of sartorial splendour! So head on over to Prague’s designer boutiques and pick up a new pink tutu! Or something sparkly, because life is just too short for dull clothes.
  • A Little History: Delve into the depths of Czech history and immerse yourself in the enchanting stories that Prague has to offer. Remember: ballet and fashion always go hand-in-hand with a bit of history!
  • The Nightly Delight: Prague really comes alive at night. Enjoy the ambience of Prague by taking a romantic evening walk, enjoying a drink on one of the many terraces overlooking the city. I suggest, perhaps, a charming “pink cocktail” to complete your night!

There you have it, lovelies – another Pink Tutu blog adventure complete! Until next time, remember to keep that ballerina grace and remember - every ballerina needs a good, pink, fluffy tutu! And if you've ever dreamed of embracing a pink tutu, well, don't wait any longer - make your dreams a reality! You never know what amazing things await when you put on that delightful pink tutu, my dear ballerinas! Until next week – keep twirling and enjoying the dance of life!
