Hello lovelies! It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... It's time for a new Pink Tutu Prague blog post!
This week, I'm absolutely bubbling with excitement, as Prague has utterly stolen my heart! It's a city bursting with romance, history, and of course, fabulous fashion – what more could a tutu-loving girl ask for? ?
Last week, I travelled here by train – always my preferred mode of transport (second only to a good pony ride, of course!). The journey was utterly charming. I spent the time reading about the fascinating history of Prague's ballet scene – a rich tapestry of influences and stories just waiting to be unravelled! I'm such a history buff when it comes to the art of ballet, the tutus, and the dancers. And there's so much more to uncover than just the graceful figures on stage.
Upon arriving in Prague, I checked into the most delightful little boutique hotel. It's decorated with the most beautiful vintage ballet posters and framed photographs of famous ballerinas – simply divine! I even managed to find a beautiful silk scarf with an embroidered pink tutu motif – which I naturally had to purchase immediately, and shall wear to the ballet tonight!
A Day of Ballet Bliss:
Today, I had a delightful experience: attending a morning ballet class at the renowned National Theatre Ballet School. Imagine the energy! Imagine the graceful movements, the crisp lines, and the sheer dedication of these young dancers! They were utterly mesmerising, and their love of ballet was truly inspiring.
Of course, a visit to Prague wouldn't be complete without exploring its exquisite ballet heritage, and boy oh boy, did it deliver! The National Theatre – where tonight's show will take place – is simply breathtaking. The interior is opulent, gilded with a touch of grandeur, and a vibrant atmosphere surrounds the theatre. I practically bounced through the doors! And the performance... well, it simply melted my heart. "La Bayadère" is such a magical story, beautifully choreographed and performed with so much passion.
Pink Tutu Prague: Frocktails and Fancy
Naturally, a trip to Prague calls for a bit of a wardrobe update, and I've been busy making the most of Prague's fabulous boutiques. I adore browsing through the racks, uncovering hidden gems of vintage inspired dresses. My favourite find was a breathtaking scarlet evening dress with an alluring off-the-shoulder neckline. So elegant and classic - perfect for a post-ballet cocktail reception!
I've also been drawn to Prague's charming street culture. The cobblestone streets are full of street performers, with musicians playing a vibrant mix of classical melodies and lively folk music, making a wonderful backdrop to my pink tutu explorations.
Tutu Fashion: It's A Pink Affair!
Of course, a ballerina never leaves home without her beloved pink tutu. And Prague has not disappointed in this department! I've spotted a delightful little tutu boutique, brimming with an abundance of pink, lavender, and ivory tulle delights. Just you wait! A fabulous Pink Tutu Prague wardrobe update coming soon!
Tomorrow, my lovelies, will be an absolute ballet wonderland: a full day of exploring Prague's renowned ballet history, museums, and cultural hotspots! I'll be searching for rare tutus, exquisite ballet shoes, and discovering the most fabulous ballet memorabilia, all for you, my dear readers! I simply can't wait to share the adventure!
But until then, don't forget to visit www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday to catch my next Pink Tutu Prague blog post.
And don't forget to embrace your inner ballerina and wear pink, wear a tutu, and spread the love! ??
Stay fabulous, my lovelies!
Lots of love,
Emma ?
