Train, Train, Glorious Train! ?
After a delightful train journey (you know how much I love travelling by train!) I finally arrived in the Czech Republic. The train journey was pure joy, as always. I adore the views, the atmosphere, and the chance to chat with fellow travellers. Of course, my trusty pink tutu came along for the ride - it's always a talking point, you know, even on a train journey to Prague! I just love the way it adds a splash of colour to even the most mundane moments.
Prague: A City of Charm and Tutus! ?
Prague was simply waiting to be discovered. Its fairytale charm, cobbled streets, and ornate architecture captivated me from the very first glance. And just imagine my excitement, darlings! My research revealed that this enchanting city has an abundance of ballet history, beautiful venues, and even shops filled with elegant tutus. Now, you know this is music to my ears! ?
A Royal Ballet Adventure: The National Theatre! ?
My very first stop was the majestic National Theatre, the jewel in Prague's crown! This architectural masterpiece is over 100 years old, steeped in rich history. As a ballet fanatic, I was particularly enchanted by the National Theatre Ballet, their dedication to bringing to life both traditional and modern masterpieces. The ballet season had just begun, and oh my, what a spectacle it was! It truly brought a whole new meaning to the phrase 'a royal ballet experience.'
The stage design was jaw-dropping, costumes shimmering, and the ballet dancers were pure grace and precision. Every pirouette, every grand jeté, felt magical under the soft lights of the theatre. You know I adore a good dramatic scene, and the storytelling was masterful! Each step spoke a language of its own, pulling you into the heart of the story. Now, you know I can’t resist a good fashion fix, especially when exploring a new city. Prague was simply teeming with adorable shops! I was especially charmed by the cute boutiques in the Old Town Square. I’ve even spotted some truly magical shops selling tutus, a pink paradise! The perfect opportunity to indulge in a little self-indulgence, don’t you think? Of course, it goes without saying that I picked up a few delightful pink accessories. Because pink and tutus just go hand-in-hand!
The Dance of the Streets: Prague's Buzzing Vibe! ✨
Prague pulsates with a lively energy. I can't resist the allure of its vibrant streets! I’ve explored its charming streets and its many cobblestone squares. Even the cobbled alleys are picture-perfect! There’s just something magical about those twinkling lights bouncing off the historic architecture at dusk. The energy is infectious.
Every corner I turned unveiled a new wonder, each sight making my heart sing! And with each discovery, a new memory was etched in my mind, a beautiful melody playing in my heart.

Did you know, darlings, that Prague boasts a vibrant ballet history dating back to the 17th century? It’s fascinating, truly! Imagine the elegance of those first ballets. The delicate choreography, the shimmering costumes, and the beautiful sets! It's an irresistible thought.
This fascination led me to explore the National Theatre's ballet archives, filled with stunning sketches, old photos, and beautifully aged program books. What an absolute treasure trove of history! Every artifact brought those early ballets to life. And the history of the tutus! What incredible transformations through the years! A reminder that ballet is a timeless art form.
Dancing in the Squares: Prague's Cultural Charms!
It’s a common saying, darlings, “every city has a beat!” And Prague, my friends, is certainly dancing to the rhythm of its vibrant cultural heartbeat! The streets, filled with enchanting music, colourful performances, and delightful little shops selling delightful wares! You know I'm always up for a little bit of a street performance, and I even caught a wonderful ballet show outside the beautiful Prague City Hall. They brought to life the enchanting stories from classical ballets, and what a magical way to showcase ballet's beauty. I'm dreaming of tutus flowing like the Danube river under a sparkling sky! ?

Of course, I had to witness Prague’s enchanting beauty by night! The city comes alive with shimmering lights and a magical energy, transforming it into a scene straight out of a fairy tale! It's just what I needed after a day of sightseeing. Imagine, darlings, the romantic glow, cobbled streets illuminated by lamps, twinkling lights casting reflections on the majestic bridges… Truly magical!
I stood, perched on the Charles Bridge, gazing out over the Vltava River, feeling the spirit of the city washing over me, its beauty seeping into my soul. You know I can’t resist capturing these moments in a photo - how else can you immortalise the beauty and wonder? Of course, my pink tutu was front and centre, swirling in the moonlight, adding to the magical feeling.
Food, Fashion, and Fancies! ??
What’s a travel adventure without delicious treats and delightful fashion? Of course, the cuisine here is absolutely divine! The local cheeses, fresh pastries, and the delightful traditional Czech dishes were a real treat for my tastebuds! And the vibrant shops brimming with unique treasures… Oh, the thrill!
But Prague is not just about beautiful clothes and good food; it’s about taking it slow, letting your mind relax, and allowing yourself to fall in love with the simple pleasures in life. Those are the moments that truly feed your soul.
