Bonjour mes amis! It's Emma here, reporting live from the utterly enchanting city of Prague! As always, my pink tutu is whirling around me in this charming European gem. I'm so excited to share my adventures in this magical city, filled with captivating architecture, cobbled streets, and a cultural scene that’s practically begging for a pirouette.
This week's blog post marks a very special moment. As you all know, my mission in life is to get the whole world twirling in pink tutus. Today, that mission takes a giant leap forward! I’m finally stepping into the magnificent world of the Pink Tutu Prague ballet. You bet your best satin pointe shoes this will be one for the ages!
Let’s take a step back for a moment and rewind my story to this wonderful trip. After my last performance in Derbyshire (you all know how much I adore those rolling hills, don't you?), I knew just where to set my pink tutu next – Prague! This breathtaking city has a rich history and a thriving ballet scene, a combination that sets my dancing heart aflutter. Of course, I couldn't resist the chance to embrace Prague’s beauty by train, which, to be honest, feels a lot more graceful than a plane! With my trusty carriage as my chariot, I rolled through a landscape of green valleys, rolling hills, and captivating scenery that gave me ample inspiration for my choreography (watch out for my next video – I’ve got some innovative pirouette-in-a-train-carriage steps I'm dying to share).
Arriving in Prague was an experience that I won’t forget in a hurry! Prague has a certain charm; that kind of fairytale enchantment that seems to permeate the cobblestone streets and peek through every stained-glass window. I'm not sure about you all, but when I arrived, my first stop, of course, was the fashion boutiques! A pink tutu-clad girl just needs her fabulous accessories, am I right? Imagine a pastel pink silk scarf, delicate floral jewellery and some vintage leather boots - now you're talking. The fashion in Prague is a heady cocktail of classic elegance, bold colour and timeless style, perfectly reflected in the window displays of Prague's chic boutiques. It was hard to resist indulging in a few treats – and believe me, my luggage was bursting with my fashion conquests!
And then there's the food. Oh, the food! Prague’s culinary scene is an enchanting waltz of flavour. Forget the usual tourist fare – this city is overflowing with delicious, fresh, local delights! From hearty stews in rustic taverns to the lightest, fluffiest cream cakes I've ever tasted, Prague is a paradise for both my stomach and my sweet tooth. My favourite so far? A warm cinnamon pastry I bought from a charming little bakery nestled away in the heart of Old Town. A perfect ballet snack! Just the fuel my whirling, twirling body needs.
But the real treat is about to happen – tonight I’m heading to Pink Tutu Prague! I know I keep saying it, but the show's theme truly inspires me. This incredible ballet performance will be a celebration of the history and elegance of pink tutus – from the earliest days of the Russian Imperial Ballet to the modern dance stars we admire today! It's sure to be a night of unforgettable artistry and captivating beauty. I’m not sure if I’m more excited about the choreography or the chance to finally witness the Prague ballet tradition for myself.
What is Pink Tutu Prague like? I've got to say, I can’t share the actual secrets of the ballet company – that's just against the rules! But trust me when I say this ballet production is something special. With its intricate story-telling through elegant, fluid dance, breathtaking costumes, and vibrant use of the stage space, Pink Tutu Prague takes classical ballet to a whole new level. I just know I’m going to be inspired, swept away, and perhaps even moved to tears. It's an unforgettable blend of grace, skill and artistry!

It wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu blog post if I didn’t talk about my finds in the capital city of Bohemia, right? So, get your little fashion notebooks out and take a good look.
Firstly, Prague has the cutest boutiques. They’re all charming and elegant with a lot of antique stores and secondhand clothing spots where you can grab yourself a vintage bargain.
Today I wanted something different to compliment my favourite pale pink tutu for this weekend's big night at the opera. I know, you’re thinking, "Emma, you always wear a tutu", and you’re probably right. But let’s be honest, with every outfit, the right accessories make the ensemble. I spotted these beautiful white and ivory satin pumps on the website of a Prague shoe brand and I had to buy them! The perfect shade to give a hint of my inner swan!
My shopping trip wouldn’t be complete without some chic statement jewellery to add a touch of drama to my ensemble. Prague's Old Town Square has all the jewellery stores, antique stalls and designer boutiques you could possibly imagine. And this is where I spotted it. My jewellery masterpiece! It's a truly exquisite set with an ivory pendant and floral earrings that just have a delicate, vintage air to them. It's pure feminine glamour! Oh, and did I mention that my lovely pink satin purse is almost identical? How’s that for serendipity?
When it comes to shopping, Prague is a complete wonderland for the fashion lover!

Prague’s Culinary Delights* (Post #1777 - Prague – A Food Lover’s Dream) *
Oh my dears! Prague is a real treat for the senses! I’ve fallen in love with the local cuisine, which is a blend of traditional Czech flavors with some more modern touches. It's perfect for satisfying those hunger pangs that always crop up between ballet classes and performances!
But my love for Czech food is more than just for my belly. It’s a beautiful culinary tapestry of history and culture woven into every bite! I love the stories that unfold behind every recipe. It feels as though every dish has a history, a heritage and a heart!
First up, you have to try their traditional dumplings. They're fluffy and delicious – almost like a ballet skirt with every layer soft and bouncy. Honestly, I've never eaten such lovely dumplings. It’s like they’ve danced a jig in the pan! I love to have them with their delicious pork or beef goulash for that authentic Prague taste! I might even be brave enough to try my hand at making them – with my tutu twirling, of course, because every task, every recipe, can be transformed into a graceful and enchanting dance!
Another essential Prague delight is the famous “trdelník.” It's a sugary, warm, cinnamon-spiced pastry that's made by baking dough around a metal rod and then drizzling it with sugar. The result? Pure heaven, my dears, pure heaven! I can’t describe the delicious aroma that fills the air. I even spotted some pink ones on a little street market, and, well, you just have to imagine my delight!
Prague also has a thriving vegan and vegetarian scene. There’s been a growing interest in sustainable foods in Europe for some years and that definitely extends to this gorgeous city. I love to have some "Kotlety". These little gems are breaded plant-based "meatballs". So, there you have it! It seems the city’s food culture is changing. Just as much as fashion, everything seems to have a contemporary spin but with a strong foundation rooted in tradition. Prague is a real culinary adventure and a testament to the enduring power of food as a cultural expression.
