Hello lovelies! Emma here, your pink tutu-clad travel companion, landing back in Prague after a whirlwind week exploring its stunning streets and world-renowned ballet scene. And wouldn't you know it, this city was absolutely made for twirling!
It's Wednesday, which means a new blog post, and I'm bubbling over with all the excitement of Prague. Honestly, I can't believe it's been a whole week since I last shared my adventures here. The time is just flying by, but with good reason - this city's overflowing with pink-tutu worthy moments.
This week's been a dreamy mix of ballet brilliance, city explorations, and of course, some glorious shopping escapades. I've been devouring everything this beautiful city has to offer, from its grand baroque buildings to the charming cobblestone streets. Even the cobblestones felt like they were calling for a grand jeté!
Oh, and did I mention the food? Prague's a culinary playground! Think creamy potato dumplings, melt-in-your-mouth goulash, and a sweet ending with heavenly apple strudel. Each bite has been an adventure in itself.
But let's dive right into the reason for this post, shall we? Today's the day for Prague's iconic National Theatre's Summer Ballet Festival, and I am utterly giddy with anticipation. There's a whole line-up of magical performances planned, each more beautiful and impressive than the last. The program is bursting with classic ballets, like Tchaikovsky's timeless "Swan Lake" - I'm already envisioning the majestic swan choreography in my head, just waiting to burst into a graceful arabesque! And the final piece, "Romeo and Juliet" with a modern twist? Swoon! That dramatic storytelling in ballet is what makes my heart sing.
The National Theatre itself is breathtaking. The majestic building stands proudly by the river, a testament to architectural brilliance, and I'm practically giddy with anticipation to see it adorned in its most glamorous glory tonight!
Speaking of glamour... It wouldn't be a Prague adventure without some seriously chic shopping, now would it? I have a confession: I’ve already added a couple of beautiful pieces to my collection, including a delicate floral print silk scarf that practically screams “Parisian chic” and a pair of intricate, hand-painted Prague porcelain earrings - they're just the perfect accessory for my vintage pink tutu collection! Oh, and let's not forget the decadent pralines from the cutest little shop I stumbled upon. Who can resist chocolates wrapped in shimmering pink foil? Not me, that's for sure!
My journey here has been pure enchantment, especially the train journey. Remember, a little journey on a pony never hurts either! This is where you’re probably thinking, how does Emma do it? Well, dear readers, my travels are a dance, an elegant and meticulously planned ballet in itself! It’s about careful budgeting, the beauty of performance, and the undeniable joy of spreading the love for pink tutus wherever I go! I juggle my performances (every twirl counts!) with travel expenses, but most importantly, I create unforgettable memories along the way. This pink tutu life is my passion, my adventure, and my journey. It's about expressing joy through ballet and embracing the joy of twirling – even if it’s just around my room!
So, as the sun dips below the rooftops of Prague and casts a golden glow over the city, I'm preparing for a night filled with artistic elegance and captivating performance. The National Theatre's ballet is about to enchant me, and I just can't wait to share it all with you. I’ll be back next Wednesday to spill all the magical secrets and details of the performances. Until then, twirl happily!
Until next week,
Emma xoxo
