Hello my darlings! It's Emma, and I'm back from a whirlwind trip to Prague, and let me tell you, my tutus have never twirled with so much joy! I'm writing this week from a little Parisian cafe on the edge of the Seine, feeling positively flushed from the wonder of it all. But before I regale you with my Czech adventures, let me set the scene.
Getting to Prague: Train Magic and a Touch of Horsepower
You all know my love for trains, don't you? There's just something magical about rolling through landscapes, watching the world whizz by, a cuppa in hand, my pink tulle swirling about me. This time, however, I took a detour into the world of pony power! I joined a charming little equestrian group who helped me haul a trunk filled with tutus across the border from Austria. It was the most adorable, whimsical journey, I simply couldn't resist the lure of a galloping pink tutu parade through the meadows!
Prague - Where Baroque Beauty Meets Ballet Dreams
Prague is a city that speaks to my heart in the most beautiful way. Imagine a city painted with layers of history - gothic cathedrals with spires scraping the clouds, cobblestone streets whispering of forgotten empires, and Baroque palaces, gleaming like sugary confections under the Czech sun. Every corner seemed to sigh with romance, a waltz of bygones that echoed in my tutu's delicate dance.
Finding the Perfect Pink
Of course, no visit to Prague is complete without a little shopping spree. I spent hours lost in the labyrinthine alleys of Old Town Square, surrounded by vintage treasures and charming boutiques. I found the most exquisite pink satin scarf – a dusky rose that complemented my latest blush tutu beautifully. My darling, I can't even begin to tell you about the bevy of hand-painted silk flowers I found - they'll be gracing my new tutu in a truly magnificent fashion!
Prague Ballet - A Tale of Beauty and Movement
And what about ballet? Oh my darlings, it was absolutely sublime! I spent an evening in the National Theatre enjoying a rendition of The Nutcracker, and I'm not sure what left me more entranced - the spectacular performance or the theatre itself! With its soaring velvet drapes and gold leaf flourishes, it felt like stepping straight out of a fairytale. The music? Absolutely divine! Every twirl and leap echoed through the magnificent hall, making my own pink tutu itch for the stage.
A Night Under the Stars
The real highlight of my trip came with the "Pink Tutus under the Prague Sky" performance. Now, my darlings, this was something special. We gathered at sunset in the stunning Old Town Square. With a backdrop of the Prague Castle, the iconic Charles Bridge, and a sky ablaze with stars, we had our very own Pink Tutu Extravaganza! Ballet under the open sky, a sprinkle of fairy dust in the air, the laughter of little girls in pink...it was the most magical moment I've experienced, and the photos...well, let's just say they're going straight on the Pink Tutu website!
Finding Inspiration at Every Turn
Everywhere I went, I found beauty and inspiration for my dance life and my wardrobe. A street musician playing a classical sonata, a baker crafting a cherry cheesecake in his tiny shop, a group of teenagers laughing over gelato on a sunny afternoon...all of them spoke of the rhythm of life and the power of simple joy. It's that feeling, that little twinkle of magic that I want to share with you.

So, what's happening in Prague today? Well, today's my last day and the cherry on top of a truly wonderful journey. You guessed it - I'm finishing the day off with another Pink Tutu extravaganza - this time we're headed to Old Town Square where we'll have our final dance to celebrate Halloween with some spooky tutu designs! You all know I like to add a bit of drama! And then it's off to Vienna for a whirlwind tour of some incredible ballet performances and a spot of vintage shopping, naturally!
