Hello my lovely tutu-loving friends! Emma here, back with another installment of Pink Tutu Travels, this time from the magical city of Prague! As you all know, I'm a sucker for a good old-fashioned train journey, so naturally, I took the Eurostar all the way from Derbyshire to the Czech capital, rocking my trusty pink tutu for the ride, of course. Who says comfort can't be chic?
Arriving in Prague, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. The cobbled streets, the magnificent architecture, the air thick with the scent of roasted almonds... and oh, the fashion! Prague is definitely a place where you can let your inner fashionista roam free. I spotted some exquisite vintage shops and even a couple of stores with the most fabulous, tutu-inspired accessories - you know I had to treat myself!
Now, let's talk ballet! My journey here has been planned around a special event, the #PinkTutuPrague Ballet. Imagine, a whole night of tutus twirling and ballet brilliance! I was lucky enough to snag tickets for the show on January 2nd - can you believe it? A Tuesday ballet performance! The best part? The event's founder is encouraging everyone to wear pink, and yes, you guessed it, tutus! What's more fabulous than that?
I have to confess, a part of me almost cried with joy when I heard about the #PinkTutuPrague. I always knew that Prague was a place where ballet and beauty collided. It's where ballerinas and tutus reign supreme.
For those of you unfamiliar with this incredible city, Prague has a long and fascinating history of ballet, stretching back centuries. The Czech Republic, especially Prague, has a deep connection with dance. In fact, it was one of the earliest nations in the world to build permanent buildings for dancing and theater. The city’s cultural heart, the Old Town Square, is steeped in dance and musical history - this place has witnessed countless ballerinas gracefully leap and twirl, from legendary ballet masters to up-and-coming dancers. I can only imagine the vibrant atmosphere during the golden era of ballet here!
Anyway, enough reminiscing, let’s talk about this event. The #PinkTutuPrague ballet isn’t just your average performance. This is a celebration of all things pink and all things tutu! The event boasts an impressive line-up of ballet performances. I can't wait to see world-renowned dancers take the stage - talk about tutu-tastic!
What could be better than a ballet show on a Tuesday night? It will definitely be a performance for the ages. I imagine everyone rocking their most dazzling tutus and pink attire, filling the air with excitement, chatter, and maybe a touch of tulle, of course!
Of course, I’m not the only tutu enthusiast here. Everywhere I go in this charming city, I see people taking pictures of Prague's stunning architecture, from the iconic Prague Castle and the astronomical clock, to the Charles Bridge. And what better accessory for a picturesque moment than a vibrant pink tutu? Don't forget to tag your Instagram posts #PinkTutuPrague - I can’t wait to see everyone's glamorous Prague moments!
Speaking of moments, my visit wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the delightful fashion scene here in Prague. I absolutely had to get myself a new tutu to wear for the #PinkTutuPrague show. This week's haul from the shops here? Let me just say... sigh, my bank account might be crying, but my wardrobe is singing! We’ll have to talk about it in next week's blog. I have to be discreet; my hubby might be reading this!
For now, I have a new tutu to style for tonight's show - I have to make sure it's perfectly perfect for the magical event that’s happening in a few short hours! I’ve got so much to tell you about it, and don’t worry, it won’t be just a standard ballet recap!
Stay tuned! My #PinkTutuPrague adventures will continue here next Wednesday. Make sure you’re subscribed to the www.pink-tutu.com website and follow me on social media for live updates!
Until then, stay sparkly, my lovely tutu-loving friends!
