You know me, I can’t resist a good dose of colour, especially a vibrant pink. It’s the perfect shade for embracing the joyous atmosphere of this incredible city. As I waltz down the cobblestone streets, I feel like I’m stepping straight into a renaissance painting! The stunning architecture, with its creamy hues and golden accents, complements my pink tutu perfectly. Honestly, it’s hard to find a place in Rome where a little twirl wouldn’t feel right!
Train Travels: From Derbyshire to Dreams
Now, as you all know, I'm a massive train enthusiast. The thought of chugging through the countryside in my favourite pink tutu, with the wind whipping through my hair, sets my soul on fire. I always feel like a little bit of magic happens when I step onto a train. This journey from Derbyshire, my beloved home county, to Rome, was no different.
My arrival in Rome was a sensory overload. The scent of freshly brewed espresso, the melodic chatter of the locals, the sheer grandeur of the historic buildings - it was exhilarating. I just had to find the perfect place to dance in this breathtaking city, and I knew just where to look...
Ballet Bliss at the Teatro dell’Opera
Tonight, my loves, is all about the magical world of ballet. I've snagged tickets for a performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. The energy in this place is palpable – an anticipation of beauty and grace, just like a ballerina before a performance! As I slipped into my emerald green velvet dress, I could already picture the intricate choreography, the dazzling costumes, and the soaring music filling the theatre. My excitement was through the roof!
Speaking of excitement, my wardrobe is bursting with delightful finds from the Italian boutiques. Today I indulged in a little vintage shopping spree – you just have to know how to pick and choose through those dusty, beautiful stores! My new silk scarf is adorned with a floral pattern that evokes the vibrant gardens of Rome, and my leather boots, the colour of a rich mahogany, are perfect for exploring the cobblestone streets.
Discovering Roman Delights: Fashion, Food, and Fun
And while the allure of the fashion scene here is undeniable, I can't leave out the culinary delights! Rome is a paradise for foodies! From the most decadent tiramisu to the perfectly cooked spaghetti carbonara, my tastebuds are on cloud nine. The aroma of freshly baked bread filling the air as I stroll past the cafes and bakeries… oh, my heart!
A Little Fashion Inspiration: Pink Tutu Rome
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Rome blog without a little sartorial inspiration. For my first day in the city, I chose my vibrant, sunshine-yellow tutu, pairing it with a white linen shirt and a delicate silver chain. The outfit was a symphony of sunshine, perfect for basking in the warmth of the Italian sunshine!

Now, as the sun dips low over the city, casting a warm golden glow over the ancient buildings, I’m going to indulge in a delightful aperitivo – the perfect way to end a Wednesday night in Rome. I’ll be savouring the flavours, listening to the music, and dreaming of all the magical moments that await me in this extraordinary city.
