#PinkTutuRome: La Dolce Vita in Pink! (Post #190)
Ciao bella! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger, Emma, here, ready to share my Roman adventures with you! I've been feeling like a princess all week, twirling through cobblestone streets and soaking up the sunshine, so you just know this is going to be a good one!
It's Wednesday, 27th January 1999, and I'm practically skipping with excitement. I just had the most delicious cappuccinos with the most divine view at a little cafe nestled within the Roman Forum. Talk about a pinch-me moment!
You'll never believe it, but I landed in Rome last Saturday and my apartment is seriously fabulous. Itās all pink and glittery, like a little ballerina haven. Plus, it's a stone's throw from the Colosseum! Honestly, how could you possibly have a bad day in a city that looks this amazing?
Rome's like a huge open-air ballet stage. Everywhere I look, there's something to capture the eye, the colour, the historyā¦ everything is just so dramatic! From the towering arches of the Forum to the majestic fountains and grand palaces, it's like stepping straight into a classic film set. Honestly, I'm channeling my inner Sophia Loren right now.
And speaking of channelingā¦ you'll be pleased to know I haven't forgotten my pink tutu! Itās been on quite the journey already. We've explored the bustling Campo de' Fiori, marvelled at the majestic Pantheon, and even strolled along the cobbled lanes of Trastevere. It's fair to say this pink tutu is making some serious Roman memories!
A Pink Ballerina's Fashion Diaries
This trip is not just about historical sightseeing; it's also about indulging my love of fashion! Itās safe to say Rome is heaven for shopping lovers. Yesterday, I discovered a charming little boutique in a tiny alleyway called āThe Ballerinaās Closetā. It was like finding a hidden treasure, filled with beautiful silk scarves and exquisite fabrics. I snagged myself a pair of gorgeous silk gloves that I just know will pair perfectly with my pink tutus.
Of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without exploring its iconic leather goods. Today, Iām heading to the Via Condotti ā the heart of Italian luxury. Who knows, maybe Iāll treat myself to a gorgeous little leather satchel. I just imagine how chic it will look on the back of my bicycle, scooting around Romeā¦ (Maybe I need a new bike too!)
Dance Inspiration
I've already got a ballet class lined up for tomorrow. I canāt wait to meet the local dancers and explore the energy of their scene. I hear there's a great theatre in Rome thatās putting on a ballet production of Romeo & Juliet. Imagine the costumes! And the dancing? I'm so excited to experience the story in such a different way.
I just can't wait to immerse myself in all things ballet, whether itās catching a show, attending a class, or simply finding a quiet space to practise. Rome's vibrancy inspires my dancing ā thereās a real sense of life, movement, and grace in this city.
Pink Tutus in Rome:
Now, about my mission to spread the joy of pink tutusā¦ Let me tell you, people here love fashion! Even my waiter this morning seemed genuinely impressed by my choice of attire! He complimented me on the āsparkleā and Iām sure it was thanks to the tutus.
Today, I plan to explore the Pantheon, then visit the Galleria Borghese and the beautiful gardens around it. Maybe I'll even strike up a conversation about pink tutus with a local artist. You know, just sprinkle a little bit of tutu magic wherever I go. It's just a little bit of fun, a little bit of colour, a little bit of ballet ā who can resist a good dose of Pink Tutu joy?
Stay tuned for more Roman adventures from yours truly ā I have so much more to share!
Until next Wednesday, remember to live life in colour and twirl with passion!
