#PinkTutuRome - Post 200: La Dolce Vita in a Pink Tutu! 🩰🇮🇹

Ciao bella! It's Emma here, your #PinkTutu aficionado, reporting live from the Eternal City – Rome!

Today, I'm feeling particularly radiant, bathed in the glorious sunshine and Italian charm that is Rome. I mean, even the air here smells of limoncello and jasmine.

This week's #PinkTutuRome adventure marks a momentous occasion - it's post number 200! It's hard to believe that this little corner of the internet, where I share my pink-tinted passion for ballet, travel, and all things fabulous, has reached such a milestone. Thank you, my dear readers, for coming along for the ride, for all your support, and for making #PinkTutu a vibrant and encouraging community! 💕

I’m fuelled by passion, pink tulle, and an unyielding thirst for exploring the world – and of course, my lovely ballet performances! Thanks to your support, I’ve managed to fund this Italian escapade. I’m living proof that chasing your dreams and twirling in pink is absolutely achievable, and that your love for the dance can be the fuel for amazing journeys.

Speaking of journeys, the train ride from Derbyshire to Rome was pure magic! As I boarded the train, I was like a giddy little girl, eyes sparkling with excitement. The sleek, comfortable carriages, the friendly staff, the ever-changing scenery, it was like a ballet performance in its own right!

But I must confess, there's no scene quite like the sight of the Colosseum unfolding before you. Just seeing those mighty arches standing proud, weathered by time and etched with stories of gladiators and emperors, sent shivers down my spine. I felt an immense pull to be a part of this city's ancient heartbeat, a little pink speck in the vastness of history.

Now, a Roman adventure isn't complete without indulging in a little dolce vita, is it? And for me, that meant a divine afternoon at the Pantheon. It's simply breathtaking! Stepping through those enormous doors, into the echoing stillness of this architectural masterpiece, is an experience unlike anything I've ever felt. And did I mention the shopping?! Rome's bustling markets and stylish boutiques are a veritable fashionista's paradise. Just imagine me, spinning down cobbled streets, twirling through crowded markets, hunting for unique treasures and perfectly-pink souvenirs!

Of course, no visit to Rome is complete without experiencing the ballet. I was fortunate enough to catch the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma showcasing the timeless beauty of Swan Lake. It was such a delight – every movement, every emotion conveyed with such grace and intensity. Watching those dancers, swirling through the magnificent setting of the Teatro dell’Opera, brought me right back to the magic of my first ballet class, all those years ago.

You might be surprised to hear this, but Rome has its fair share of street performers and street ballet. I spent a delightful evening by the Trevi Fountain, watching a group of incredibly talented young street dancers effortlessly executing some truly mesmerising moves. There's just something so powerful and liberating about seeing ballet in unexpected settings, a reminder that dance transcends boundaries and conventions.

What’s been your biggest Roman dream so far? Tell me all about it in the comments! Remember, #PinkTutuRome is all about sharing our love for life, travel, and fashion, so don't hesitate to join the conversation.

Don't forget, darling readers, you can find me on my favourite platform for showcasing all my dance-inspired adventures - www.pink-tutu.com. I post a new #PinkTutuRome adventure every Wednesday, so stay tuned for my next fabulous Italian escapade!

Stay stylish and stay inspired, Emma xo
