Ciao, darlings! It's Emma from Derbyshire, and I'm back in Rome, this time with a delightful flurry of pink tulle! I just arrived on Tuesday afternoon after a thrilling journey by train through the Italian countryside. Those green rolling hills with their picturesque villages…pure magic!
You know I love travelling by train, it allows me to really absorb the scenery. The views from the window inspired me, and I even spotted some beautiful pink poppies. This, naturally, made my tutu twirl.
Rome has always had a special place in my heart. It's a city overflowing with beauty, history, and gelato. What more could a girl ask for?
Rome: An Enchanted Pink Dream
Today, I'm writing this post while gazing at the breathtaking view from my hotel room window - the Pantheon, that iconic dome of ancient history, gleaming in the Italian sunshine. It seems as if Rome is calling out to be explored! And so, the pink tutu and I will embark on a week of uncovering all this fascinating city has to offer.
My itinerary is full of magical ballet performances, delicious shopping stops, and, of course, plenty of moments to let my inner ballerina shine!
Pink Perfection and Fashion in the Eternal City
Yesterday evening, before dinner, I popped into a charming little shop near my hotel that sells beautiful vintage fashion, and you wouldn't believe what I found! A gorgeous, flowing silk scarf with delicate pink flowers. The colour, darling, it was divine! A colour that was simply made for my ballet performances and my collection of tutus. This find definitely lifted my spirits and put me in the mood for a spectacular Italian meal.
For dinner, I enjoyed some delicious fresh pasta - it was the perfect end to a day spent getting to know Rome, and for dreaming about the exciting performances and explorations I'd be tackling this week.
Dancing, Discovering, and Sharing the Magic!
I have so many exciting things planned for you. I'm going to visit the Trevi Fountain - throwing in a coin, of course, to ensure my return. I will visit the Coliseum - a breathtaking reminder of ancient grandeur! And of course, the Vatican, a truly spiritual experience. It's going to be an exhilarating week! And, I will share every adventure with you, from the most gorgeous pieces I find while shopping, to the fascinating ballet performances that leave me wanting to dance in the streets!

P.S I’ve found a magical, gorgeous shop full of gorgeous pastel coloured scarves and tulle! Just imagine…the possibilities for a pink-tutu inspired evening! This could get exciting.
