Buongiorno from sunny Rome, darling! It's Wednesday, which means another Pink Tutu Rome post is up! My travels through the eternal city are proving to be as charming and dazzling as a freshly-pressed tulle skirt!
Now, let's rewind the clock a bit... last Wednesday I was busy getting my Pink Tutu Rome train ticket organised – yes, travelling by train always feels so chic and civilised, wouldn't you say? Especially with my pink luggage trolley! I'm telling you, packing light is a true art. And to celebrate a successful journey, you know what I wore? That's right! A vibrant, hot pink tutu with a black lace overlay. So perfect for strolling around Rome's enchanting streets.
Speaking of enchantments, darling, the main reason for this trip: the Ballet show at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma! My favourite part of travelling is always experiencing the incredible artistry and diverse styles of dance from all over the world. And let me tell you, Roman ballet was simply divine. A modern take on "Swan Lake" – and of course, I took my very own pair of opera glasses for the perfect view.
#BalletInspiration: Now, you may think it's strange to wear a tutu to a ballet, but it’s just part of my own Pink Tutu way of embracing my passions, no matter what. Let's be honest, ballet is the original and truly amazing performance art - you can’t top it. I actually think wearing a tutu adds to the theatrical experience!
Let's Talk Fashion, Darling: No visit to Rome is complete without indulging in a bit of Italian fashion. And by bit, I mean lots! I confess to picking up a few key pieces that are already giving my wardrobe a chic, Roman makeover. Did I tell you that this charming little boutique near the Spanish Steps had the most gorgeous silk scarves – you just know I had to buy them in every shade of pink. I mean, what better way to complete a pink tutu outfit than with a luxurious silk scarf? I was channeling that elegant Roman princess vibe, just imagine!
Pink Tutu Rome: In the evenings, after a delicious gelato and a stroll by the Trevi fountain (did I tell you how much I love fountains?) I couldn’t resist a performance on Rome’s streets! This vibrant, passionate city gives a special spark to even the most simple of performances. You could feel the buzz in the air. People stopped and admired and clapped, even the local policeman was smiling – how lovely! I loved performing in the setting sun.
The #PinkTutuMission: Back to my ultimate goal – getting the whole world to embrace the tutu! Remember, my dear readers, you don't need a reason to wear a tutu! Every day is an occasion to wear pink, and yes, darling, a tutu! A little twirl in a vibrant pink tutu can brighten even the greyest of days, trust me!
A Taste of Italy: You've just got to have some delicious pasta while you are in Italy, right? So naturally, I went to a beautiful traditional trattoria with my friend, Bella. Bella is another tutu lover (a real ray of sunshine!) she travels the world with me and gives my posts an extra "oomph" too, we're like the Thelma and Louise of tutu land! Now, you might wonder what a tutu-wearing traveller is doing in a Roman trattoria... but it was perfectly fitting! We giggled, dined and indulged in the divine Italian food, of course all in pink.

- Savor the journey: There's magic in those little moments - the taste of authentic Italian gelato, the laughter with friends, the mesmerising sway of a performance… take your time to soak it all in!
