Buongiorno from Rome, my lovelies! 🩰🇮🇹 This week's post is extra special, because guess what? I'm finally in the Eternal City! My pink tutu has touched down on Italian soil, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
Travelling in Style
I took the train down from Derbyshire, you know, the lovely green and rolling hills. I'm absolutely obsessed with trains – the clinking of the wheels, the soft rumble, the journey itself – all so romantic and beautifully old-fashioned. But of course, my pink tutu had to be on display! Even in train carriages, I strive for style! Thankfully, no one gave me funny looks, perhaps they were simply enthralled by the spectacle! 😉 I think a pink tutu adds a little something special to everything, wouldn't you agree?
Rome: A Feast for the Senses
Arriving in Rome felt like stepping into a postcard – sun-drenched piazzas, vibrant terracotta rooftops, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and gelato swirling through the air... pure magic! I’ve already taken a wander around the Colosseum, my jaw hanging open at its grandeur. Who knew ancient ruins could be so stylish?!
Shopping Therapy in the Heart of Rome
Of course, a trip to Rome wouldn't be complete without some shopping! I've been browsing the vintage boutiques and designer shops – dreaming of sleek, Italian fabrics in shades of pink. Imagine: a perfect little pink silk dress, just the right length for a graceful twirl. It’s a pink-tutu girl's dream!
Ballet Fever in the City of Love
And speaking of twirls, Rome is buzzing with balletic energy! I managed to secure tickets to the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, where they're performing Giselle. Oh, my goodness! I just adore Giselle, the hauntingly beautiful story and the exquisite choreography. The Teatro itself was breathtaking – grand, luxurious, with stunning acoustics that just amplified the emotion of the performance. I almost wanted to leap onto the stage myself, so incredibly inspiring it was! I think my heart might actually burst with joy at how incredible the ballet world is.
On the Hunt for Roman Delights
Tomorrow's a big day: a "pink tutu tour" of Rome, featuring all the iconic landmarks and sights, naturally. And guess what? It just so happens that it’s the opening of "Roma Gelato" , the hottest new gelateria in town! The owner has promised to unveil a new pink gelato flavour specially dedicated to me – just imagine, the creamy sweetness, infused with delicious pink berries! How delightful! It's truly a perfect day in the city of love and ice cream!
