Pink Tutu Rome: #421 - The Eternal City and Its Eternal Pinkness! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Hiya lovelies! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Rome update! ๐Ÿ’–

This week, my train journey took me from the cobbled streets of Derbyshire straight to the heart of the Eternal City, Rome! You just can't beat the magic of stepping off a train and feeling the warmth of a different country embrace you. And Rome? Well, Rome is just one big, delicious embrace.

Fashion Finds and Fantastical Flavors ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ

I couldn't wait to get my pink tutu-ed feet onto the ancient Roman pavements, and I gotta tell you, the fashion scene in this city is off the charts! It's a feast for the eyes, a swirl of chic Italian style, vintage finds, and enough leather to make even a hardcore ballet shoe collector drool. My wardrobe is already groaning, but I haven't even gotten to the real designer boutiques yet.

But I couldn't just rush into the shopping fray, could I? It wouldn't be right to visit Rome without savouring the delectable cuisine! I devoured the most amazing pizza ever, the kind that melts in your mouth, leaving you longing for more (and perhaps, for an extra dose of exercise to counteract all those calories). My favourite was topped with artichoke hearts โ€“ a bit of a quirk, I know, but oh my goodness, a truly divine flavour! And let's not forget the gelato. Creamy, luscious, heavenly gelato in a rainbow of flavours. I may be blushing pink from the heat, but I'm feeling decidedly happy.

Roman Rhapsody: Ballet Under the Tuscan Sky ๐Ÿฉฐโ˜€๏ธ

My heart's been doing a little pirouette ever since I saw the poster advertising a ballet show in a hidden courtyard garden. Imagine it: ancient stone walls, lush green foliage, a moonlit sky, and graceful ballerinas dancing their hearts out. I swear, I felt like I was back in the days of the Renaissance. I grabbed tickets faster than you can say "allegro," and I cannot wait to soak in the magic this evening!

Adventures in the Forum, Pantheon, and Beyond๐Ÿ›๏ธ

I wouldn't be a proper Pink Tutu traveller if I didn't embrace the historical gems of Rome, right? Today, I took a step back in time by wandering around the ancient Forum and the Colosseum. Imagine all the stories those walls could tell. I could practically hear the gladiators clashing their swords, the cheers of the crowd, and even the soft echo of the dancer's pirouettes! I also popped over to the Pantheon, the iconic circular temple with its stunning dome. The light inside was just breathtaking. It's no wonder this city is known as "The Eternal City." It's full of awe-inspiring moments, ancient whispers, and captivating beauty that just never gets old.

Sharing the Pink Tutu Love ๐Ÿ’–

As I've been exploring Rome, I've noticed that everyone seems to love a little pink, too. I've been getting smiles from every corner, compliments on my tutu, and even a couple of impromptu dance moves from friendly locals! I even managed to share a slice of my delicious pizza with a street performer dressed in pink who was doing an incredible fire show (I think he liked my Tutu a little too much ;)). The energy in this city is contagious and I feel it spreading right through me - my energy, my spirit, and even a tiny hint of pink.

Follow my journey ๐Ÿ’–

If you love travelling, dancing, and of course, the colour pink, I urge you to visit my website www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday! It's like our own little corner of pink-tastic fun where we can share all our travel stories and get our inner tutu on. And speaking of inner tutu...you know the drill, folks! If you're in Rome and see a pink tutu twirling through the streets, it's probably me. Say hello! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Until next week, happy travels, stay pink and keep on twirling! ๐Ÿ’–

Lots of love,

Emma xx
