Honestly, the only thing missing is a whole troupe of ballerinas twirling through the Piazza Navona in pink tutus! 🩰
I’m so excited to share my Italian adventures with you – after all, who wouldn’t want to see a ballet dancer gallivanting about in Rome?! 😉
This week, I hopped on a lovely train (my preferred mode of travel, naturally) from the heart of Derbyshire and made my way across Europe to the city of ancient history. Rome’s already given me the most amazing first impressions - imagine, my darling, the history! The Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon… it’s simply incredible.
But before I jump into my sightseeing escapades, let’s talk about my fabulous outfit for the journey. 👚✨ Of course, I knew my darling readers would expect something extra special, so I paired my favourite hot pink tutu with a sleek black turtleneck and my most charmingly sparkly black ballet flats. After all, a ballerina’s gotta stay comfortable for all that travelling!

Roman Splendour and Fashionable FindsAs soon as I stepped off the train, the city was calling my name! 🇮🇹 I found myself captivated by the cobblestone streets, bustling cafes and charming street performers – I’ve already caught a glimpse of a fabulous violin player and an incredibly energetic juggling act. I swear, there's so much culture swirling in the air!
Naturally, I was drawn to the most exquisite clothing shop I could find. The Italian sense of fashion is simply unbeatable. I found the most gorgeous blush pink scarf that, in a fit of impulsivity, I knew just had to be mine! 🛍️ You can’t visit a fashion mecca without indulging in a little retail therapy, can you?
An Enchanting Evening at the Teatro dell'Opera di RomaTonight, the highlight of my Roman adventures awaited: a stunning performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. I made sure my look was perfectly coordinated for the occasion – a luxurious emerald green silk gown (I love finding a touch of vintage in the most unexpected places!), paired with the same delightful pink tutu and my trusty sparkly flats. It felt like stepping back in time – pure enchantment!
The performance of La Bohème was a triumph, leaving me completely speechless and filled with awe. I’ve never seen such passion, artistry, and elegance onstage – the energy radiated from every movement. And those costumes, darling… simply breathtaking. I swear I’ve found my new ballet inspiration for the next few months!
The Dreamy City of RomeRome feels magical. It's a city of breathtaking architecture, delicious food (that creamy carbonara, sighs!), and the most amazing people! It feels as though time moves slower here, giving everyone an opportunity to truly soak in the ambiance.
I’ve discovered a little gem of a café near my hotel, where I spent the afternoon indulging in the best coffee and pastries I’ve had in years, surrounded by chatter in the sweetest Italian accents. Honestly, this city just feels right – like it’s been waiting for a pink-tutu-wearing ballerina to wander its cobblestone streets!
