Pink Tutu Rome: #442 - Ciao Bella!

Hello darlings! It's Emma, back from another whirlwind adventure. This week, we're in the Eternal City, Rome, and let me tell you, it's living up to its name!

This Wednesday marks my 442nd blog post, and who would have thought, my pink tutu is still making waves! It's incredible how many people share my passion for twirling and all things girly. This week, I even had a young girl ask me, "Are you a real princess?" I beamed, told her "We're all princesses in our own right," and did a little twirl for her. You see, in my pink tutu, I feel like a princess, and it seems that spark spreads!

Now, Rome. You might think it's just ancient ruins and gladiators, but oh honey, you'd be surprised! Yes, the Colosseum is stunning, but the energy in Rome is infectious! There's a vibrancy in the air that I can't get enough of. And who could resist the shops?! It's like a fashionista's paradise.

A Fashionable Journey

This trip, my wardrobe is full of florals, dainty laces, and flowing silks, all in beautiful shades of pink, of course. It's all about blending vintage chic with a touch of playful flair. Let me tell you, finding the perfect little shop hidden away on a cobblestone street is pure magic. Imagine me, twirling down Via dei Condotti, window shopping for exquisite Italian leather handbags. The joy, I tell you!

And I must confess, the gelato is heavenly! Every flavor you can imagine, from pistachio to mango, all scooped into perfect little cones. It's enough to make you twirl in your pink tutu and shout, "Bravo!"

Rome: More than Just Ruins

Today was spent exploring Piazza Navona. This beautiful square was alive with street performers and a breathtaking Baroque fountain. The sun dappled through the leaves of the trees, and I even managed to snag a gorgeous photo with a real live Roman chariot! Just imagine the picture - pink tutu against the backdrop of history!

Tomorrow, we're visiting the Vatican City! I can't wait to see St Peter's Basilica and perhaps even spot the Pope himself! I'm planning to wear my ivory tulle tutu with a soft lavender sash for the occasion, keeping the spirit of faith and elegance.

Sharing the Love

My blog wouldn't be complete without a glimpse into my ballet life here in Rome. Thankfully, Rome boasts a rich ballet scene, and I just had to visit the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Seeing their latest production of "Giselle" left me breathless. It was utterly enchanting!

After the show, I bumped into a fellow ballet enthusiast. He, a local, took me for coffee and offered me some fantastic tips for finding local ballet classes. Talk about a delightful serendipitous encounter! You know what they say: A ballet-lover is a friend for life!

The Journey Continues

Remember, this is just a little sneak peek into my Roman adventure! Tune in next week, as I delve into the world of Roman markets, ancient ruins, and of course, more delicious gelato!

As always, I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me on my Pink Tutu travels! It means the world to me.

Lots of love,

Emma
