Ciao bellas! Itās Wednesday and that means it's time for another Pink Tutu Rome post from yours truly, Emma! My trip to Rome is going just fabulously, darling. Honestly, this city is like a dream ā the food, the fashion, the architecture, it all just calls to the ballerina in me! And just so you know, Rome isn't about wearing stilettos all day. The pavements here are, shall we say, adventurous. Thankfully, my trusty trusty ballerina flats and trusty tutu are getting me around in style.
Letās get right to it, though - I am absolutely besotted with the fashion scene here in Rome! The clothes are absolutely exquisite. So many amazing boutiques with beautifully cut fabrics and a whole lot of pink, of course! Today I indulged myself in a little vintage shopping at the glorious āLa Bottega delle Fate.ā Now, let me tell you, it was a pink wonderland of ruffles and frills and vintage pieces, including a simply stunning pink sequined jacket that practically begged me to take it home! Of course, Iām not the kind of girl to say no to a bit of glitz and glamour, so it's now a star in my travelling wardrobe!
This evening, my dear diary, I am venturing into the Roman nightlife to catch a captivating ballet performance at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma! Yes, you heard that right. Not just a performance, a captivating one. Let me tell you, Italian ballets are hot, like fiery passionate dancing hot. If the gorgeous posters and advertisements at the train station are anything to go by, we're in for a treat. Just wait till I post some photos ā youāll be mesmerized, darling!
*Hereās the thing about Italyā¦ Itās an absolutely glorious experience for the senses. The smells of freshly baked bread, the sight of the vibrant piazzas and charming trattoriasā¦ The sound of the happy laughter ringing through the streets, all thisā¦ justā¦ wellā¦sighs contentedly*. My camera is getting quite a workout, taking snaps of all these pretty things! It really makes you want to spin, doesn't it? (I might even do a little impromptu pirouette right now ā but we'll save that for next weekās post!).
Speaking of next week, it's time for me to bid you adieu! But before I go, I must share a little nugget of advice I received from a dear Roman friend: āLife is a stage, Emma! Make sure to twirl and shine!ā And twirl and shine, we will! And just in case you're wondering, this week's Pink Tutu Look of the Day is a blush pink satin tutu, paired with a vintage pearl necklace. Very demure and charming ā it suits my pink-tinted view of the world, just right! And what do you think? Do I make it work?
