Hey there, darlings! Emma here, fresh off the train from Derbyshire and straight into the heart of Rome! This is week #502 of the Pink Tutu blog, and I'm so thrilled to be writing to you from this beautiful, historic city.
Rome - Where Romance Meets Ballet
Rome is truly living up to its reputation - it's an absolute dream! Everywhere I turn, there's stunning architecture, charming cobbled streets, and the scent of freshly baked pastries wafting through the air. It feels like stepping into a movie!
The other day, I was exploring the Piazza Navona, and guess what? I found a gorgeous shop filled with all sorts of amazing tutu-inspired garments. It was a ballet-themed boutique, just begging to be explored. The shop had delicate tulle skirts, glittering headbands, and even a couple of pink tutus! Naturally, I had to try one on – it was just calling out to me!
And you know what, even in Rome, I'm turning heads! Everyone seemed delighted by my pink tulle ensemble. I love the reactions – so much joy and laughter – It's all part of the Pink Tutu mission, spreading happiness one twirl at a time!
Ballet Bonanza!
I’m really excited, because later today, I’m heading to see a performance of Swan Lake at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Can you believe it? This is a true ballerina's dream! I've been practicing my fouettes all week, and I can't wait to feel the magic of the ballet in this stunning venue. I know I'll be absolutely mesmerized!
Speaking of ballet, I've already had a wonderful time at a ballet class in the Trastevere district. The teacher was delightful, with an infectious passion for ballet. And everyone in the class was so welcoming! Even with my limited Italian, we communicated through the language of ballet – that graceful, universal vocabulary we all understand!
Food Glorious Food
Let's talk food, shall we? Rome is a foodie's paradise! It's like an endless feast for the senses. I’ve already tried the best pasta carbonara, the most delicate pizza with prosciutto, and a heavenly gelato - it’s practically a sin! Every bite is pure culinary bliss!
Pink Tutu Rome - My Style Guide
Now, let's dive into my favourite part: fashion! This week, I've been channeling my inner Roman goddess. My outfits are all about classic style with a touch of Pink Tutu flair! Think chic white dresses paired with my favourite pink tutu for a dash of colour and whimsy. And of course, I can't forget my statement jewellery – sparkling earrings and necklaces add a touch of drama and glam.
I'm even planning a fun little photoshoot in front of the Trevi Fountain. I’m sure the perfect twirling photo opportunity awaits.

As you can tell, darling, I’m absolutely smitten with Rome. Every corner I turn offers something new to discover. Next week, I'll be taking a day trip to the Colosseum. It’s a piece of ancient history just waiting to be explored.
