#PinkTutuRome: The Eternal City, My Pink Tutu and Me! (Post #515)

Hello my dearest #PinkTutu darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another installment of my adventures in the Eternal City, Rome!

This week has been absolutely divine. After the beautiful but busy chaos of the weekend, I spent a lovely Monday morning wandering the backstreets of Trastevere, losing myself in the charming shops, tucked-away cafes and cobblestone alleys. You wouldn't believe the cute vintage trinkets I found in the little antique shops. I felt like I was in a vintage fairytale, my pink tutu practically twirling itself with glee! I mean, how could it not with the scent of jasmine and freshly baked bread in the air?

Of course, any trip to Rome wouldn't be complete without a proper coffee break. I found the most adorable little cafe tucked away, with mismatched tables, flowery parasols and the most decadent chocolate espresso. Oh, the simple joys!

Then, on Tuesday, I ventured further afield to the historic Piazza Navona. Imagine: ancient obelisks, cascading fountains and street artists painting masterpieces right before your eyes! This is what I call authentic artistry, my lovelies. I almost had a mini-ballet performance right there in the middle of the square โ€“ I couldn't resist the rhythm of the musicians!

The highlight of the week, however, has to be tonight! Tonight I get to witness the absolute epitome of classical grace, Romeo and Juliet at the Teatro dell'Opera! Can you believe it, my dears? It feels like destiny! From the charming backstreets to the majestic grandeur of an opera, this trip is truly painting itself into a vibrant and colourful story of my life!

Speaking of vibrant and colourful, did I tell you about my latest fashion discovery? I found a vintage shop crammed with silk scarves in every shade imaginable! I just knew I needed one โ€“ and trust me, the fabric and design were absolute heaven! I might have indulged in a little twirling around the shop, you know, just to make sure it looked as glorious on me as it did on the rack. Who can resist a good twirl, eh?

This brings me to a little question I've been pondering this week: Why not embrace your inner ballerina and twirl with abandon, wherever you are in the world? This city, with its romantic whispers and colourful streets, is urging me to be bolder, embrace the beauty of the unknown and, yes, embrace my love for pink tutus with a twinkle in my eye. It seems that in Rome, the heart is the guiding force. So, embrace yours and * twirl away, my dears! Because we're never too old, or too scared, *to add a little colour and magic to our everyday. Don't you agree?

Stay tuned for my adventures at the Teatro dell'Opera on Friday! I will be sharing all the magical details. And of course, sharing some more photos!

Sending you a million twirling hugs!

Love always, Emma
