Pink Tutu Rome #576: La Dolce Vita & Dancing in the Eternal City! 🩰🇮🇹

Buongiorno, darlings! It's Emma from Pink Tutu, bringing you another Wednesday blog post straight from the heart of Rome! 💖

This week has been a whirlwind of ancient wonders, delicious food, and of course, a sprinkle of pink tutu magic!

As you know, I'm a sucker for travelling by train, and the journey from Derbyshire to Rome was just the ticket for a touch of romanticism. I indulged in the scenic views whizzing by and even caught a little shut-eye in my comfy first-class carriage – I did say it was a whirlwind of travel! 😂

Once I landed in Rome, my senses were bombarded by the charm of this incredible city. The architecture is stunning, the streets buzz with energy, and even the smell of fresh bread baking fills you with a sense of delight! I’ve definitely fallen under the spell of La Dolce Vita!

Pink Tutu Explores the Ancient World:

Yesterday, I ventured into the heart of Roman history with a trip to the Colosseum. Standing amidst those ancient walls, you can truly feel the echoes of the past. It's a powerful and moving experience – a must-see for any visitor! I'm hoping to see a ballet performance there soon… wouldn't that be divine?! ✨

Pink Tutu Fashion Finds:

After all that history, I indulged in some shopping therapy, naturally! The shops in Rome are a delight! From the bustling markets to the elegant boutiques, there are so many stylish pieces to be found. I’m adding a pair of statement pink sandals to my wardrobe (because you can never have enough pink shoes) and a beautiful Italian-made leather handbag – my tutus deserve a fab bag, don't you think? 😉

A Taste of Italian Delights:

No trip to Rome would be complete without a gastronomical adventure! I've been sampling the local delicacies with gusto: creamy pasta dishes, fresh pizzas, and delectable gelato. Of course, a large glass of Italian wine is essential for a true Italian experience – and a delightful way to finish off a delicious meal! 🥂

Pink Tutu & The World of Ballet:

As always, ballet is never far from my mind. Today, I had the pleasure of attending a performance at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The talent was phenomenal, and I found myself totally swept away by the beauty and passion on stage. I've even started exploring some local ballet studios, in case the inspiration strikes to brush up on my pirouettes!

My Tutu Inspiration:

Did I mention that I wore a new pink tutu today?! You’ve gotta see this creation – a perfect mix of fluffy tulle, sparkle, and a dash of vintage elegance. It was the ideal attire for a day of exploring Rome and soaking in all its cultural beauty! It wouldn't be Pink Tutu Rome without a sprinkle of pink tutu magic! ✨

Next Week’s Adventures:

This week has been filled with wonderful experiences, and I can't wait for what Rome has in store for me next. I'm thinking about visiting the Trevi Fountain – who doesn’t love a good fountain to twirl in front of?!

Until then, remember to embrace life with a touch of pink, a little bit of tutu, and a whole lot of sparkle!

Ciao bella! 💋

P.S. What’s the one place in Rome you would suggest for me to visit? Leave a comment and let me know your recommendations. 💕
