Pink Tutu Rome: #677 - Ciao Bella! It's Wednesday and It's Time for Pink!

Hello lovelies! Itā€™s Emma here, back from another fab week of tutus and travels! As you know, Wednesdays are for Rome on www.pink-tutu.com, so get ready to be whisked away to the Eternal City with your favourite ballerina!

This week's post is coming to you from a rather adorable cafe near the Pantheon - I've just devoured the most delicious lemon ricotta cake with a cup of cappuccinoo. Can you even imagine a more perfect setting for writing? I think not!

It's been such an amazing week in Rome - the sunshine, the food, the architectureā€¦ itā€™s truly a feast for the senses. And of course, no trip to Rome would be complete without indulging in some of the most fabulous shopping around!

Ciao Bella! Ballet Under The Tuscan Sun

We arrived in Rome via the Eurostar, of course! It's simply the most romantic and stylish way to travel - the view whizzing past, the sound of the wheels clicking along the track... It's just magical, you know? As soon as I set foot on the platform, I knew it was time to channel my inner Audrey Hepburn. So, my trusty pink tutu (yes, even on a train!) and a chic vintage coat became my perfect travel ensemble.

And to make things even more exciting, guess who we met at the station? A charming Italian gentleman with eyes like the blue sky. He even helped me with my suitcase! He told me he was a ballet dancer, imagine! Of course, we had a little chat about the world of dance - we agreed that Italian men do seem to have a very special relationship with balletā€¦ (wink!)

Rome's Romantic Architecture

But back to the Eternal City! I have been utterly charmed by its architecture. From the mighty Colosseum to the enchanting Trevi Fountain, Rome truly is a place where ancient history meets breathtaking beauty. We've been spending the days strolling through cobblestone streets, exploring hidden piazzas, and getting hopelessly lost in the magic of it all.

The best thing? Rome seems to adore the colour pink. The pink marble facades, the pale pink sunsets, the dusty pink cobblestonesā€¦ it's truly a paradise for a tutu-loving ballerina like myself!

Tutu-ific Fashion Finds!

One of the highlights of the week was discovering a vintage shop just off the Via Veneto - a hidden treasure trove of glamorous 1950s dresses and exquisitely crafted gloves. Naturally, I couldn't resist snapping up a few goodies. My shopping haul is now making its way back to Derbyshire, in my very own pink travel suitcase - a vintage piece I found in Rome, obviously! (Gotta love the matching pink! We are a very organised tutu tribe, my dears!). I can't wait to showcase my new treasures in my upcoming dance performances, you guys!

A Roman Rhapsody: Ballet by Night

This weekend we're going to catch a show at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Yes, you read that right - BALLET! It's been years since Iā€™ve seen a real performance - all those months touring in my own shows and I just missed it! So much so, I think I may have spontaneously combust with excitement just thinking about it. My tutu, as usual, will be joining us, becauseā€¦ letā€™s face itā€¦ she loves a good drama! The theatre here in Rome, oh it is a vision of beauty! So romantic, with an air of history - just imagineā€¦ opera in the heart of Romeā€¦ it simply doesnā€™t get much better! I'm hoping to take inspiration for a new routine - maybe something passionate and full of life, something that reflects the vibrant spirit of Romeā€¦

Tutu Tuesdays - Bringing the Magic Back Home

Back in Derbyshire, our weekly Tuesday tutu class has been abuzz! All the girls are on a high, wanting to emulate the fabulous outfits we've spotted in our photos from our trip - even a new girl called Maisie who was a bit nervous about the colour pink is starting to love it, she even brought a baby pink top with little tutu accents to last nightā€™s class, adorable! We had a special ā€œRomeā€ class this week where we combined classical moves with the passionate and fiery energy that this ancient city evokes - let me tell you, it was fabulous! Iā€™ve even had requests to put the ā€œRomeā€ class on a regular schedule - guess we need to rethink those pink schedules, but hey - it's all good, as long as the music is great and we can wear our pink tutus!

Pink is Power - You Go Girl!

Remember, you lovely lot, it's time to embrace the pink and the sparkle, my friends!

If I can live in my pink tutu, explore the world and make ballet my career - so can you!

We all have magic within us - and pink just helps us to see it better!

Till next time, my sweet darlings, may all your days be filled with tutus and sparkle!

Stay pink,

Emma xxx
