Pink Tutu Rome: A Whirlwind of Beauty and Ballet (Post #818)
Ciao bellas!
It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another installment of Pink Tutu Rome, my weekly exploration of this magnificent city! The air is crisp, the sun is shining, and I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement to share all the fabulous finds and breathtaking moments I’ve encountered this week.
This week, I’ve truly embraced the Roman spirit – a mix of history, vibrant culture, and the sweetest gelato you'll ever taste (not that you needed an excuse to indulge!).
First off, I’m still utterly thrilled about my recent performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. The stage, the lighting, the sheer magic of the setting - it’s no wonder this opera house has been around for over a century! And you just can't beat the feeling of the audience’s applause after a successful performance. That's what I call a true pink tutu high!
Speaking of performances, there's something magical about watching a show at Teatro Argentina. The theatre dates back to the 17th century, and the atmosphere is electrifying, making it a fantastic choice for both theatre enthusiasts and first-time viewers. And just in case you missed it, today’s date is February 9th, so make sure to check their schedule for some great cultural experiences, perhaps some Shakespeare or a wonderful Italian opera! It’s all part of “La Dolce Vita” and my personal mission to sprinkle a touch of magic everywhere I go.
Speaking of magic, one of my biggest discoveries this week has been the Ballet School of Rome – a place buzzing with energy and grace. Watching these talented dancers move is a joy to behold. I took a master class with one of their top teachers, and let me tell you, these Italians really know how to move. It was a fantastic opportunity to practice my moves, and to really appreciate the history of ballet in this city.
Of course, Rome is more than just beautiful architecture and world-class dance performances. It's a haven for shopaholics like me! This week, I've been hunting down the latest designs in vintage stores, from charming little boutiques to elegant emporiums bursting with silk, feathers, and intricate details. Finding the perfect pink tutu is just an extra bonus!
Now, you might be wondering, what’s a Pink Tutu blogger to do when shopping is done and the evening arrives? Well, Rome offers something for every taste, from the chic bars in Trastevere to the traditional Italian restaurants tucked away in the cobbled streets of the historical centre. I've fallen in love with the delicious seafood at Ristorante La Campana, where the aromas and flavours transport you to the Mediterranean coast. And naturally, a bit of ice cream is always on the menu – especially in flavours like “pistacchio” and "crema."
Rome, you've really won me over. From your stunning art museums and world-renowned historical sites to the charming cobblestone streets and cozy piazzas – every corner reveals something magical. I simply can't wait to explore more of what this captivating city has to offer. And of course, I can't wait to show you all!
So, stay tuned, my lovelies. More Pink Tutu adventures from Rome are coming soon!
Until then, wear a pink tutu!
With love,
Emma
