Pink Tutu Rome #829: La Dolce Vita in a Pink Tutu!

Ciao bella! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another installment of my Rome adventures. This week, I'm overflowing with the sheer joy of the Eternal City – its ancient charm, vibrant energy, and of course, the fabulous fashion! It feels like I'm living a real-life fairytale in my pink tutu.

For this week’s blog, I've packed my pink tutu (naturally!), my ballet shoes, and my biggest smile – I’m ready for a week filled with la dolce vita.

Before we dive into the delights of Rome, let's catch up. Did you catch my last post about Paris? The Eiffel Tower is a true sight, and I even squeezed in a delicious crepe on the Champs-Élysées (pink icing, of course!). I swear, the Parisian streets must be sprinkled with pixie dust, they’re so full of charm and chic style.

A Pink Tutu & a Train to Rome:

Now, let’s get back to Rome, where I arrived just yesterday after a wonderful train journey from Paris. Train travel is my favourite – I can enjoy the scenery, relax, and sip my tea. As my fellow train travellers stared in amusement at my tutu (a pink one, naturally), I couldn't help but smile, secretly hoping to inspire them to embrace a little pink joy in their lives. I've always believed that life is too short to be boring!

The Colosseum: A Time Travel Experience

Rome’s incredible history just blew me away. Today, I explored the Colosseum – an iconic landmark that transports you straight into the Roman Empire! I've never seen anything like it! I spent a good hour soaking it all in, letting the magnitude of its ancient power sink in. I even caught a glimpse of a mischievous little Italian boy who ran across the arena, and for a fleeting moment, it felt like I'd stepped back in time.

After the Colosseum, I meandered through the narrow streets, marveling at the centuries-old buildings and absorbing the atmosphere. A little gelato (strawberry, naturally!) helped with the sunshine and a little pink tutu twirling on the Via dei Fori Imperiali felt perfectly fitting.

Ballet at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma:

Rome doesn’t just have ancient history – it also has incredible performing arts! Tonight, I'm going to see "Swan Lake" at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. This is truly a dream come true! I’m thrilled to experience the magic of ballet in one of the most beautiful theatres in the world. And who knows, maybe I'll even inspire some Roman tutus during the intermission!

Shopping for La Dolce Vita Style

After "Swan Lake," I plan to indulge in some shopping. Rome has incredible designer boutiques that would satisfy even the most discerning shopper, but honestly, I’m all about the local artisans. The vintage shops and handmade boutiques are overflowing with unique and stylish finds, and I'm planning to find some quirky treasures to bring home.

The Fashionista in Rome:

From the vibrant markets to the chic boutiques, Rome offers a plethora of fashion inspiration. The Roman women radiate effortless style. I spotted some stylish mamas with little ones who were equally fashionable! It's this unique blend of history and contemporary trend that makes Roman style so intriguing.

Rome - The City That Captures Hearts (and Pink Tutues!)

Rome is everything I imagined and more. It's filled with delicious food, charming people, and historical wonders that leave you in awe. But what I truly love about Rome is its vibrant spirit – a combination of traditional Italian values with modern energy and zest for life. This is the kind of energy that resonates with my love of pink, tutus, and all things magical.

It's already becoming clear why Rome has always been considered one of the most romantic cities in the world. The atmosphere is electric – even my pink tutu can’t escape the undeniable charm! I’m already planning my next visit!
