Pink Tutu Rome: #836 - A Roman Holiday, Darling!
Hello lovelies!
It's Wednesday again, and you know what that means - another Pink Tutu Rome post, straight from the Eternal City! Today I'm bubbling over with excitement after a whirlwind weekend filled with fabulous fashion finds, divine dining, and of course, more twirling than a ballerina's practice session.
This week, I've truly felt the magic of Rome, darling. The cobbled streets, the gelato melting on my tongue, the sheer beauty of the Colosseum - all these experiences are adding to my list of reasons to fall head over heels for this captivating city.
A Love Affair with the Train
Now, I've always been a fan of the train. I'm talking those long, scenic journeys where you can sit back, admire the changing landscape, and dream up all the fun you're about to have. This weekend, I boarded a high-speed train to Rome, which brought me to this bustling city in no time. Let me tell you, it's a luxurious way to travel! And let's face it, darling, nothing quite beats watching the world whizz by through the window in a swirly pink tutu - it’s almost like performing my own little ballet.
Pink Power in the City of Romance
Rome is a city of romance, yes, but it’s also a haven for fashion! I simply can’t resist exploring the local boutiques, and trust me, darling, this weekend was no exception. I snagged the most fabulous pair of blush-pink espadrilles, a delicate silk scarf adorned with miniature daisies, and a flowing white sundress perfect for strolling along the cobbled streets. It wouldn't be a trip without some sartorial spoils!
And of course, darling, my trusty pink tutu made its way into the Rome landscape. It turned heads as I posed in front of the Trevi Fountain (and did a little twirl, of course!), brought a splash of colour to the historical streets, and made me stand out amongst the crowds. Because darling, let’s be honest, you can never have too much pink.
Deliciously Delicious: Food Glorious Food!
Every Italian holiday needs a good dose of divine food. I'm talking hand-crafted pasta dishes bursting with flavour, decadent gelato with every shade of the rainbow, and heavenly tiramisu, so rich and decadent, it simply melts in your mouth.
I’ve had the most delightful pasta with a light tomato sauce, and it’s absolutely delicious! The pasta is so delicate, almost melting in your mouth, with the perfect amount of sauce that lets the flavour of the pasta come through. Then I finished with a dollop of the most delicious vanilla ice cream - you have to try the local Italian flavours when you’re here, they’re incredible. Oh darling, it's pure bliss!
Under the Tuscan Sky
This weekend, we had a little jaunt to a stunning medieval village just outside of Rome. It’s nestled within the heart of rolling Tuscan hills, like something out of a postcard! The air was fresh and filled with the sweet scent of flowers, and the old buildings were simply breath-taking. It was the perfect backdrop for some whimsical twirling under a beautiful Tuscan sky.
Ballet Magic on the World Stage
You all know that dancing is my passion. And on Saturday, I witnessed something truly magical. I ventured into Rome's historic Teatro dell'Opera, and darling, it was breathtaking. I spent the evening being transported to another world with the graceful movements and emotional intensity of the performance. Seeing professional dancers execute those complex ballet steps with such precision is an experience I'll never forget. I almost felt like I could have twirled alongside them!
Spread the Pink Tutu Love, Darling!
Wherever I go, I try to bring a little sparkle. That’s why, in Rome, I've taken to my usual ritual. Each day I do my own little performance. On this visit, I even managed to convince some charming street performers to join in my pink-tutu twirling - the smiles on their faces and the sheer delight in the eyes of the passersby were priceless! It's so much fun sharing this joy with others. Remember darling, every single one of us can bring a little bit of joy and magic to the world. So don't be afraid to twirl your own way and spread the pink tutu love. You’re never too old or too self-conscious to wear a tutu!
Ciao Bella!
I’ll be back next Wednesday with more fabulous discoveries from the Eternal City! Ciao for now, darlings, and remember - wear your pink tutus proudly!
With twirls and glitter,
Emma
