Pink Tutu Rome: Post 931 - Exploring the Eternal City in My Tutu!

Ciao Bella! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Rome post! This week has been a whirlwind of pasta, pizza, and pink (of course!). Rome, you are an absolute dream! As I sit here, my very pink tutu swirling around my ankles, I can't help but smile at how perfect this trip has been.

Firstly, a little update on how I'm funding all this amazing travel. As you know, I'm a dancer, and I absolutely adore ballet. It's my passion, my life, my everything! I've been fortunate enough to secure some wonderful gigs lately, performing in a beautiful little theatre in Derby - you know, just down the road from my little Derbyshire village. The gigs are fantastic, and I'm finally able to combine my love of ballet with my equally big love of travelling the world. It's all thanks to the generosity of the lovely audiences who come to see my shows. They truly fuel my wanderlust!

Rome, Oh Rome

Speaking of wanderlust, I've arrived in Rome. And darling, it's just as incredible as you've heard. I'm loving every minute of it! You wouldn't believe the number of delicious cafes, quaint boutiques and awe-inspiring historical sites I've explored so far. Today was a particular highlight - a walk around the Colosseum and then an afternoon in the gorgeous Borghese Gallery.

Let me tell you, the Colosseum was truly something else! It was even bigger and more impressive than I'd imagined! And you wouldn't believe the photo opportunities. I simply had to have a few pictures in my pink tutu, just for you all. The history surrounding this ancient amphitheatre is just captivating, it really puts you back in time. The crowds were a little daunting, but all in all, it was such a fantastic experience.

After conquering the Colosseum, it was time for a spot of culture at the Borghese Gallery. I've always been fascinated by Renaissance art, and the Borghese Gallery is a treasure trove of exquisite sculptures and paintings. This is a place you could spend hours in, surrounded by such beauty and inspiration.

I also couldn't resist trying on a couple of pretty outfits at the local boutique. You know me, I just can't resist a little retail therapy, especially in Rome. There's so much stunning Italian design, it's like stepping into a fairytale! I found the most divine, flowing floral dress that's perfect for wandering around the ancient ruins. It's perfect to pair with my favourite blush-pink tutu for an extra touch of pink perfection.

Sharing the Love of Pink

And, of course, I'm never shy about sharing my passion for pink with the world. While wandering around Rome, I've been seeing lots of beautiful women, all with their own individual style. But I think my pink tutu is definitely turning some heads and bringing a smile to people's faces!

People have been so friendly here, especially once they see the tutu. They’ve been snapping pictures with me, laughing, and sharing stories of their own adventures in Rome. It's incredible how a simple tutu can bring so much joy!

And while the Colosseum and art galleries have been magical, my favourite part of Rome so far has been simply exploring the charming little streets, discovering the perfect espresso, enjoying some delicious gelato (with pink sprinkles, of course!) and just taking it all in. It’s an incredible feeling, this kind of wandering, of feeling free and happy.

Don't Forget To Check Out the Photos!

I know you're all dying to see my latest Rome adventures in pictures, and you won't be disappointed! I've captured every glamorous moment, from my tutu twirling amidst ancient ruins to a snap of the most delicious gelato in Rome! Check them all out on my blog at www.pink-tutu.com and make sure you join me on social media for some more instant Pink Tutu fun.

Until next Wednesday, my loves,

Emma xoxo

P.S Don’t forget, if you're ever in Derby, England, be sure to check out my next ballet show! And who knows, maybe one day I'll be performing in Rome itself. One pink tutu-loving ballerina can dream, can't she?
