Buongiorno, darlings! This is your weekly dose of Pink Tutu from the Eternal City, Rome! As you know, I absolutely adore travelling by train. It's so romantic, so full of possibilities! My latest adventure has brought me to Italy, where the sunshine is like liquid gold and the air is infused with the sweet scent of jasmine.
After a long train ride through the stunning Tuscan countryside (yes, I was wearing my pink tutu, of course! I like to think I brighten up those journeys for everyone!), I arrived in Rome yesterday afternoon. My first impression was a whirlwind of terracotta rooftops, ancient ruins, and the tantalising aroma of freshly baked bread. My tummy rumbled like a grumpy bear at the prospect of all the delicious Italian cuisine!
First Stop: Shopping Therapy!
No trip to Rome is complete without some serious shopping therapy, especially for a girl like me who is obsessed with fashion! This morning, I found myself lost in the charming Via Condotti, where luxury shops lined the cobbled streets. Let's just say, I may have indulged in a few little (well, maybe a few bigger!) purchases. 😉
And what could be more perfect for Rome than a blush-pink silk scarf to tie around my head like a true Roman goddess? Oh, and a pair of bright red gladiator sandals to complete my girly, Italian-inspired look!
The Magic of Rome's Ancient Wonders
Of course, a trip to Rome wouldn't be complete without exploring the city's incredible historical sites. This afternoon, I embarked on a journey to the Colosseum. Standing amidst its colossal, ancient stones, I couldn't help but imagine the gladiators battling for their lives thousands of years ago. This place is full of magic and history, and I just had to feel its powerful presence.
And who do you think wore a pink tutu while exploring the Colosseum? Yes, this pink tutu wearing ballerina! After all, what's a trip to Rome without a little bit of whimsy and a touch of Pink Tutu magic?
Opera Tonight!
Tonight, I'm getting ready for an exciting evening at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Can you believe they are showcasing "La Traviata" by Verdi? The Italian language combined with a classic opera is going to be breathtaking. I'm so excited to experience this iconic performance! It's going to be truly magical!
