Buongiorno, darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina back with another exciting installment of "Pink Tutu Rome!" Today I'm buzzing, you guys, because today's post is extra special! Why? Well, let's just say I've been living my dream in the Eternal City.
For this Roman adventure, I've traded in my trusty Derbyshire countryside trains for a luxurious ride through the Italian countryside on a gleaming, sleek Italian high-speed train. Let me tell you, travelling by train is truly the most magical way to explore. The journey was just as glamorous as the destination – imagine endless vineyards, sun-drenched fields, and even the most divine sunset. All this with the most beautiful Italian music playing, it was practically a scene from a film!
Rome has welcomed me with open arms (and sunshine!), and my itinerary is packed with pink-tinted delights. Imagine:
Sights so stunning, they’ll take your breath away: Today I explored the Colosseum. The sheer size and grandeur of it took my breath away! I even wore my sparkling new pink tulle skirt for the occasion - can you imagine how well it went with those ancient Roman stones? A little touch of feminine grace amongst the history!
Delicious discoveries: I had the most delicious gelato (with a sprinkle of pink edible glitter of course!) – gelato is literally what dreams are made of.
Fashion finds that set my heart a-flutter: Did I tell you I found the most gorgeous pink silk scarf in the most divine shop in the heart of Rome? Just imagine, my pink tutus with a little bit of Roman flair!
Ballet heaven: On Monday, I went to the Rome Opera House! It was glorious! The dancing was breathtaking, the costumes were so intricate, and the entire performance just took me on a magical journey.
And you know what else? Today is my very own "Pink Tutu Day!" It's just a little celebration of all things pink, all things feminine, and all things joyful! I know I encourage all of you to wear pink tutus, but even if you aren't up for a full-blown tutu look, let's all celebrate the spirit of colour, expression, and individuality! So, wherever you are today, be bold, be brilliant, and wear some pink! It might be a cute pair of socks, a lovely pink lip gloss, a gorgeous rose, anything to bring a little more joy and sparkle to your day!
But let’s get back to my adventures, shall we? After a day of sightseeing and shopping, nothing beats a good glass of Italian wine! Now, I'm snuggled up in my adorable hotel room, which just happens to have a gorgeous balcony overlooking the city.
