Pink Tutu Rome: Post 1039 - Ciao Bella! 🇮🇹🩰

Hey there, my gorgeous tutu-loving darlings! It's Emma here, reporting live from the Eternal City, Rome! 💋 This week, I’m leaving the English countryside of Derbyshire behind to whisk you away to the romance and grandeur of Italy for a whirlwind tour of everything fabulous, pink, and… yes, you guessed it, tutu-tastic!

As you know, I live by the motto, “life’s a stage, darling, and you are the star!” And what better stage to strut your stuff than the cobbled streets of Rome? So grab your fanciest ballerina slippers (sparkly is a must!) and join me on this dazzling journey through Italian fashion, culture, and, of course, a little bit of tutus.

Wednesday, May 6th: Arriving in Style!

Ciao bella! 💋 Rome welcomed me with open arms, sunshine streaming down upon its magnificent buildings. My heart was skipping a beat the moment I stepped off the train (train travel, darling, always chic! 😉). I’m a big believer that a trip starts from the moment you leave home, and for this one, I was ready to rock.

Picture this: I boarded the Eurostar with a bright pink tutu, a fabulous feather boa (matching the tutu, naturally), a stylish vintage suitcase overflowing with tulle, and a playlist of all my favourite ballet scores (a girl’s gotta be prepared!). I am always drawn to the glamorous and whimsical. It's just who I am!

As soon as I landed in Rome, it felt like stepping back in time. The ancient ruins, the bustling markets, the fragrant food – it's a sensory overload of pure delight! But amidst all the historical wonders, I knew I had to find something pink. You can never have too much pink! Thankfully, it wasn't too hard. Within minutes of arriving at my hotel, I stumbled across a fabulous shop, “L’Atelier del Rosa,” bursting with pink frocks, silk scarves, and shoes of every shade imaginable. I found the most gorgeous, shimmery, fuchsia pink scarf with gold thread that I just couldn't leave behind!

Dinner in the Heart of Rome

After my shopping spree, it was time to indulge in the legendary Italian cuisine. I had a delicious dinner at “Trattoria Romana,” a charming little restaurant in the heart of Trastevere, one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Rome. Their pasta dishes were absolutely divine, and, of course, they even had pink ravioli on the menu. You can never go wrong with pink, darling. It makes everything even more magical.

Dreaming of Tutus and Colosseum

After my culinary adventure, I strolled through the moonlit streets, soaking in the magical atmosphere of Rome. The Colosseum, lit up against the night sky, seemed like a grand stage for some forgotten ballet, and I couldn't help but picture myself twirling through its majestic archways, my tutu catching the wind. Oh, the adventures of a ballerina’s mind, darling!

Wednesday is Tutu-Wednesday, you see. My weekly post, here on www.pink-tutu.com , is always dedicated to sharing the joy of dancing, the passion of performance, and a healthy dose of pink! You might think I’m just a whimsical girly-girl, but there's a serious side to me, too. You see, ballet, for me, is about more than just pirouettes and arabesques – it's about pushing limits, achieving goals, and above all, embracing your individuality.

And why the pink tutus? Well, life's too short for beige, my darlings! Let's paint the world pink! And while I love a traditional white tutu as much as the next ballerina, there's something extra magical about a splash of pink.

Tune in next week for more adventures from Rome as I dive deeper into this dazzling city. You can bet there will be plenty of fashion, art, and food-related adventures (always keeping it fabulous, naturally). I can't wait to share more!

Sending you all lots of pink, positive energy and tutus of love,

Emma xx
