Pink Tutu Rome #1074: La Dolce Vita in a Pink Tutu! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Ciao Bella! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Welcome back to Pink Tutu Rome, my weekly dose of pink, tutus, and travel, straight from the heart of Italy! It's Wednesday, 6th January, 2016, and the sun is finally peeping out after a few days of rain โ€“ a good sign, as we're kicking off this new year with a whole lot of adventures in the Eternal City.

This week has been a whirlwind of discovery, with my trusty pink tutu leading the way (as it always does, of course!). ๐ŸŽ€ I started the week in the vibrant heart of Rome, with a visit to the Pantheon - just a quick hop on the metro from my apartment. Its vastness and elegance took my breath away, even a seasoned tutu traveller like myself can't help but be impressed by its sheer beauty! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ I couldn't resist twirling in front of its majestic doors, the echo of my tutu's swish resounding through the centuries. It was a perfect start to a week of exploring Romeโ€™s rich history and charming streets.

Then, my absolute favourite part: shopping! Now, I'm no stranger to a good browse (my blog is living proof of that!), and the fashion scene in Rome is truly a delight. From the chic boutiques in Via Condotti to the vibrant, bohemian market stalls, the options are endless. I came across a stunning pink satin bag (with tiny sparkling ballerinas on it, naturally!) that would be perfect for my evening ballet performance tonight โ€“ the perfect finishing touch to a showstopping pink tutu. ๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿฉฐ Speaking of which, tonight's performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma is going to be magical! It's "La Traviata", and I just know I'm going to be swept away by the beauty and drama of Verdi's masterpiece.

Of course, no visit to Rome is complete without indulging in some of its delectable food! ๐Ÿ I'm a bit of a foodie at heart, so naturally, I've been devouring everything from freshly baked focaccia to the most creamy gelato (which, of course, was pink!). The Italian passion for food is truly contagious, and I can't wait to experience even more culinary delights during my time here.

Speaking of passions, Rome has also reminded me how deeply my passion for ballet flows. I love that wherever I travel, it always draws me to its graceful embrace! I even found a charming little dance studio nestled within the city walls โ€“ how perfect for a few practice sessions before my own performances! The sense of community amongst the dancers, regardless of language or origin, is beautiful. Just another reason why ballet truly is the universal language.

To fund my Pink Tutu adventures, I rely on the magic of dance. Every week, I find a new venue, a new city, a new audience, and get to share my passion for dance and travel, a bit of sparkle, a whole lot of pink, with the world! It's hard work, but also incredibly rewarding. I'm reminded each day that the most beautiful journeys are often those we take within ourselves - whether across a continent or across a stage.

Rome has a certain je ne sais quoi - a timeless elegance, a playfulness that matches my love for tutus perfectly! Thereโ€™s something magical about stepping into a new place, seeing it through pink-tinted lenses, and letting its energy inspire me. I feel truly connected to this city - it has this air of history and untouched beauty that you simply have to feel to truly understand.

But for now, my Pink Tutu adventure continues. I have a show to get ready for! And Iโ€™m ready to share more about this extraordinary city with all of you, week after week! Stay tuned for my next Rome update - who knows what wonders we might discover together!

Ciao for now! โœจ
